It was small, which is fine- but the atmosphere was beyond dull 😑 no smiles from the waitstaff, we got a chuckle from the older couple across from us when the lady pushed the button on the singing Christmas Cactus playing "Feliz Navidad" lol...the lunch portions were small, my husband had the pot roast- it was good but maybe 3 bites at best especially for a man (really) i had meat loaf- which was literally just a loaf of meat, no bell peppers or onions or red sauce...just ground beef and brown gravy, another small portion that was salty. The green beans were good, the fried okra was good...but that and mashed potatoes were our only choice and plates came with the potatoes so u get to choose between 2 other sides only....1 roll under baked and 1 small piece of under cooked Jalepeno cornbread minus the jalepeno. They were cash or check only which was fine by me, i dont carry plastic, but no sign up and it was inconvenient for 2 tables while we were there, they had to leave to go get cash out from 🏧....down on Greenville Ave to boot, which cost the waitresses a tip i noticed. We tipped lol but i will NOT be returning...sorry y'all! Big disappointment!! Especially when we took 2 buses and a train...

Went here for the first time and was completely disappointed. I usually go to small places like these because they usually have some of the best service, home style breakfast, very kind waiters that love the people they serve, but this one didnt offer that at all. Service was not kind at all, it seemed as if they did not know that they are located in a busy area and that they would be busy, which im sure its like this every Saturday morning. The food was decent but tasted horrible due to the awfull service. To top things off i walked to the register to pay for our meals, and like i stated in the beginning that it was my first time here, just to find out that i needed to pay attention to the very small 3 in. by 8 in. faded out sign on the door, that most people would ignore, stating that they only took cash. So i had to leave my family there to find an atm. I would not recommend this place and will not be going back. My child said something that i found quite funny as we drove away, she said "Man even Denny's is better than this" sooo true. I think the only reason they get busy is because there seems to be no other...

I am always on the lookout for unique places to try and have been planning on trying the OASIS Cafe since I noticed it. With unexpected time on my hands I decided to eat Breakfast at The OASIS Cafe. At first I thought nice little quite spot, and it was. A road trip truck stop feel. The food wasn't anything special and really I wasn't expecting it to be. The prices are fair. Staff reminded me of once more a truck stop place you find on a long lonely road trip. This I liked and enjoyed. They didn't bother you much and you don't bother them much. This Cafe does not except cash and this is a problem in 2017. They do post a sign on the door. One I missed because honestly I never come across this and don't make a habit of reading doors since the mid nineties. Luckily this one day I had cash to get by. Now that I have tried The OASIS I will not be returning. The Cash only policy is a deal breaker for me and it just wasn't special and unique enough to get around that outdated business pratice. I was surprised they had a website when they don't have the technology to take debit cards. Search for the right...

~First time here... I ordered the chop steak and eggs. I picked the wheat toast and grits. The plate came with 3 large eggs and the steak was a decent size too. The chop steak appeared to be one of those pre portioned/packaged patties. It wasn't seasoned much but I added grilled onions which I don't think added a charge. I also mixed cholula, A1 and the grilled onions together then put them back on top. I was surprised by large eggs and 3 at that. The grits were about perfect in consistency but for the least expensive item, could have been a bit larger portion. The toast wasn't a yeasty, cheap bread and thick sliced. Overall, I enjoyed everything ordered. I was happily surprised by the **post covid and recession proof pricing**. The owners/managers seemed attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend. *excuse the mixed up eggs in my photo. I leaped into them before I thought about a photo for this review!

This place is cash only just so you know before going!! Now that there's that out of the way...you should go here, you really should. Why you ask? Because it's like a step back into 1988 when life was easy like the interior of this place. Cozy little space with booths and a real diner style bar. The waitress was the best ever and didn't make me feel rushed although I only got takeout. Scrambled eggs were delicious and none of that out of the can junk. Toast was cooked just right and the grits made you wanna slap yo mama. I highly recommend as I will be going back again. They do have lunch as well but I believe they close about 2.30 pm so get there for breakfast or lunchtime!!

Went in for breakfast. A small down-home type of diner with excellent food and service. Spoke to the owner, and he said that this store has been open for over 25 years. I got 2 fried eggs with 2 pieces of bacon, toast, hash browns, and coffee for under $9.00. They also serve pancakes, omelets, and breakfast burritos. This is an excellent place to eat. I went there at about 6:30 a.m. and they were open. Highly recommend this restaurant. I think that they close around 2:30 p.m. but check the description when you look it up in Google maps.
