Violet Crown Dallas — Local services in Dallas

I went to go watch the F1 Movie with a showtime at 5pm on a Friday and the 2nd con below really shows the lack of common sense/care ppl can have:

When we get in the movie theater that’s playing F1, there were people’s popcorn and drinks from the last showtime everywhere that had to be moved so we could sit down.

I go out to the food/concession area and come to find out by an employee that the kitchen won’t be open until 6pm. Okay understandable and he reads off the meal options they have. I go out there at 6:10pm to order and come to find out that the kitchen will be closed all evening due to being short staffed. So then I ask if I could grab some food at Village Burger Bar and bring it into the movie theater since they cant offer any food right now. I was told no that’s not allowed and if I were to do that I would have to eat outside of the movie theater then go back into the movie when Im done aka miss more of the movie than I already am. I dont understand how I bought the tickets naturally assuming they will have food available and they didnt, then they cant rectify it by letting bring in food. I would go back for another movie if I could bring food from outside in there if the kitchen was closed, but since I cant, Im definitely going to another movie theater that has food. I love the Violet Crown and have been coming for a few years now. Always had great experiences. Lately they’ve been having some obvious staffing issues which is a bummer. Went and saw fantastic 4 twice this weekend and on Friday they were unable to serve and food or alcohol due to staffing issues and on Sunday, July 27, they had only one person (Juan) working the entire theater. I’m mainly writing this review to give a shoutout to Juan. He was taking orders, operating the projectors, making all the food and drinks, making the popcorn, cleaning and hand delivering every order to multiple showtimes at once because they didn’t have buzzers. He was doing all of this so efficiently that I didn’t even realize it was him by himself until we got to our seats. He also had the best attitude despite being put in a terrible position.
