This place has really good food with a large selection to choose from. If you're looking for good seafood at a reasonable price, this is your spot.
They took some of the best Short Order Cooks and put them in the kitchen at this place! These guys can cook!
The line wasn't long for long, because they turned our orders around in little to no time at all.
I ordered the two piece Cat Fish meal with Onion Rings and Hush Puppies. The Hush Puppies were ok, but the Onion Rings were very good. You could make a meal of the Onion Rings alone. The breading was crispy and crunchy. My lady ordered the same thing but with fries.
I couldn't help but notice that no one who worked there actually smiled. Not all that big a deal since it's not that kind of restaurant. You walk in, stand in line, look at the menu up on the wall, then place your order for the food you want to eat. Honestly they are so busy getting orders out, maybe it doesn't occur to them to be more personable; anyway, I didn't affect the quality of the food.
I was surprised to see a cluster of King 🦀 Crab Legs being dropped into a huge pot of boiling water!!! That was authentic, letting me know this place is the real deal. You can see EVERYTHING going on in the kitchen if you're standing at the counter where you place your order. Kitchen was clean, cooks were clean!
Because the portions were so big, my lady and I took food to go. Just a simple heads up..... she wasn't crazy about the fries, but enjoyed the fish and she can cook, so you can trust her judgement on the food being served at this place. She loves ❤ this spot, and now so do I.
The place was clean, and although it was 23 degrees outside, it was warm inside.
I noticed the staff spraying down each table with a disinfectant cleaning solution after each guest left. There were families with young children, and couples dining in. I did not see anyone sitting alone. Great affordable seafood place for a family night out, or date night out.
I give this place a major thumbs up. You'll be...
Read moreUnprofessional environment and food was awful. I dealt with the worst management in my life yesterday 5/17 at this restaurant around 7pm. The lead manager told me she would not tell me her name, she pandered me and told me she was the franchise owner. We have phone recordings of my group calling after we left to get her name and she said she wouldn't give amy of us her name and she does not have to. For context I asked for a glass bottle coke instead of the Topo Chico and she told me after a certain amount of time I cant get an exchange or refund. I had not touched the drink and it was only a four dollar drink so it was absurd that she kept arguing with me. I told her she shouldn't have opened my non alcoholic beverage and she said her waiter did but I said I didn't open it and your waiter did and I did not touch the drink so I would like an exchange and she said that is not how it works she was condescending and rude. I was completely disrespected when she started postulating towards me like she wanted to fight me like who treats a customer like this I asked for my entire refund of everything because we couldn't finish our food as the environment was not welcoming to us from the workers any longer and the manager actually told me she could kick me out for asking for a refund so in a nutshell I will call everyone i know all clients, friends & family members and tell them to never patronize this restaurant/franchise/company. I posted a review on facebook and the pulled it. I left most of the food not eaten and I...
Read moreI've been here many times before and loved it every time. It's been almost 3 years since my last visit. The catfish filets seem to be cut thinner this time. Most of my catfish seemed to be thin and crispy and unenjoyable. Fries and hush puppies were good. Service was fast. I don't get to come to Dallas often and I love stopping here. It seems to have gone down slightly in quality. We ordered a PO boy catfish and shrimp sandwich. The shrimp was smashed into a thin patty and fried in the same way as the catfish. The looked almost identical. Upon receiving our order we were confused because we didn't think we could see the shrimp. The main reason for the low stars is that the PO boy was also made with really thin catfish. The experience was just a mouthful of breading lettuce and what felt like crisped edges of the fish filet. The meat was so thin and unenjoyable in the sandwich. We mistakenly told the lady at the front that we were missing the shrimp. She abruptly answers in short frustrated tone. Very disrespectfully sayin "nuh uh you got the shrimp it's right there." While pointing very vaguely and and not explaining anything. Then as we walked away she says. "There you go" which was also in a nasty rude tone". I think she should understand the confusion when the shrimp and catfish look identical. I do not appreciate people being rude to my loved ones when we go out to have a good time. The girl with the braces could use an...
