I am writing to formally express my concerns following an unpleasant experience at your store on May 14th at 1:45 PM. I visited the store to return a few items I received as a Motherâs Day gift. I brought the original bag and the receipts for all items being returned, which were part of two separate transactions.
From the moment I entered, I noticed a young associate on the sales floor near the underwear section who began following me around the store. Despite moving throughout different areas, including the back where I was initially directed for the return, she continued to closely monitor me. This made me extremely uncomfortable and gave me the impression that I was being racially profiled, especially as a Latina woman, while other customers in the store did not appear to be receiving the same treatment.
When I proceeded to process my return, I requested that the refund be placed onto a gift card, as I planned to shop again during future sales. I do not typically shop at Victoriaâs Secret unless there are promotions, and the gift I received was significantly overpriced knowing i can get them on deal eventually.
The associate assisting me informed me that gift cards are no longer an option for returns. I questioned this and asked for clarification. She then called over another employeeâwho happened to be the same person who had been following me earlier. That employee reviewed my receipt and asked if I had a gift receipt. I explained that I had the original receipt. She responded that returns can no longer be processed without a gift receipt.
I reviewed the storeâs return policy and found no mention of such a restriction. The manner in which I was treated felt unprofessional, dismissive, and inconsistent with your stated policies. More importantly, I felt singled out and disrespected based on my appearance and ethnicity.
I am extremely disappointed with...
Read moreStore associate never approached and offered help. The greeting lady welcomed but inside the store nobody cared. Asked for help, an associate dressed in black, Latino, said sheâ can help after sheâs done with a customer and we waited and waited she never came. We saw her running around, not busy with any customer, so we gave up and left. To the greeting lady we mentioned what happened and that we are leaving. I have the impression that she avoided us. Hopefully she is not the one who hates Asian, but I have no other explanation as to why she was avoiding us. Bad...
Read moreUncomfortable experience. Until a forced conversation with the sales associate. She inadvertently was following me. When she found out I was a travel nursing professional, she then wanted to offer assistance in finding a hoodie and leggings. It was too late. Her prejudice already showed. I'm not really sure how other minorities come to this country and be prejudiced, but it's sickening. Besides, who shops in Pink anymore? I haven't for years. Honestly, I just wanted a couple of pairs of leggings. After this visit, I definitely won't be anymore.
