This place must keep changing its name. My receipt says Paradies Lagardere⌠even though there was no name on the store, only a bunch of Trip Advisor logos. I actually thought it was a TripAdvisor store. Much like its deceptive branding though, were its deceptive pricing and interesting cashier (#531820).
I was just in the FLL airport and I tried buying a charger for my iPhone. After the price rang up almost 20% higher than the listed price tag, I asked how much the tax was I was being charged.
Instead of answering, the cashier says something like âoh, the pricing listed for all the iPhone chargers isnât correct.â When I asked for a refund she said itâs too late, my card was already inserted and they donât do âcharge backsâ.
After I pointed out that itâs odd she knows the price is wrong but doesnât update it or say anything, she goes on to process the refund for me. She also made a point to tell me twice that Iâm ânot going to find an iPhone charger cheaper than $50 in the airport.â Such a bizarre experience.
