I had the time, also was departing from gate F1 (wich is right next to the restaurant, you can watch everything perfectly on gate F1 from this restaurant) So I checked this place online to get a general feeling about the place. Lot of people complained about the servers and cleanliness of the place. I totally disagree, servers were very helpful and friendly. Most of them are bilingual (English and Spanish) Being from Puerto, I was immediately drawn to the Mojitos there. They have 2 options, the Minty one, and a Blueberry one. I personally enjoyed more the Minty one, Blueberry was OK, but if you are looking for that authentic Caribbean flavor, got for the Minty one. I hope, one day the management consider the idea of Passion Fruit Mojitos (those are the best). Moving on, I had a steaksandwich, wich was OK. The only option they had for dessert was "Fried Oreos with Ice Cream". I was skeptical about this option, but decided to try it anyway. How wrong I was about it. Love it, and will go for seconds in a heartbeat. Overall I gave 4 stars, is not a culinary stop for the Fort Lauderdale area, but being a airport consession it was over par. Haven't tried other restaurants in this airport, but this one will be my template when I try the other...
Read moreWhen I first walked into the restaurant near my terminal, I noticed there was no hostess. I politely asked a waitress where I can sit. Her response was in the back because I don't have time to help you unless you have a lot of time. I went to the back of the restaurant, and I asked another waitress where I can sit and she accommodated me pretty quickly and even made sure the table was clean. When the waitress approached me about what I wanted to order I mentioned to her that I was still deciding because I am not very hungry, but I have time to kill but I would start off with French fries. She immediately told they do not have a side of fries and then told me to go and sit at the bar. I did not want to sit in a crowded bar when the restaurant was empty. I had to explain to her that although I was not hungry, I still wanted food to go since my travel time had now increased, she apologized. After placing my order, she asked me if i wanted a side of fries. It seems she thought that all I wanted was fries but when she realized I was ordering more then all of a sudden, he fries were okay to order. I don't think it should be this hard to give business to a restaurant. This place is extremely overpriced, and the staff need a lesson in...
Read moreIn all of my years of eating out this was by far the worse service and restaurant that I ever experienced. Our server CARMEN had an attitude from the moment we walked in. She asked us if we were eating in and then rolled her eyes after we said yes and told us to sit in her section with a face of annoyance. We waited about 20 minutes for her to come back and take our order and the entire time she was passive aggressive towards us for no reason. When my friend asked her what types of tequila they had she said “we all types of tequila I don’t know” very passive aggressively. The food surprisingly came fast, but it tasted horrible, as if it were microwaved. When I asked her for a blue moon she rolled her eyes and said they’re out and then got an attitude when I said I’d like to change it for a bud light. It was as if everything was annoying her, my table was not needy at all. Trust me, I am a restaurant server and I always try to tip a hefty amount but I asked her to remove the automatic gratuity off my check because of how rude she was with me and my friends. I highly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone and if Carmen is your server, RUN! P.s. you have the option to remove or reduce the automatic gratuity they apply to the...
