My son and his 2 friends were measured at the Davenport, Iowa store for a destination wedding in Virginia. Shortly after their order and measurements were paid for, my son looked at the receipt and noticed that a black jacket had been ordered and not the gray one. My son and I went back to the Davenport location and met with the store manager telling her what was wrong; she also noticed just by looking at my son that his measurements were also incorrect. After remeasuring him and ordering the correct colored jacket, we notified the 2 other friends that were back in college in Iowa City and in Ames that they also needed to go back in for new measurements and the correct jacket to be ordered. The wedding was taking place outside of Richmond Virginia and we were told by the store in Davenport that we could only pick up the jackets in Virginia Beach. We had to then rent a vehicle big enough for 5 grown adults to drive 2 hours to Virginia Beach to pick up the jackets. 1 jacket fit, because the one boy had been measured a second time at Mens Wearhouse and then he was measured at the Gentry Shop, another tailor/rental in town for a different wedding. He used the Gentry shop measurements and his jacket fit. My son and the other boy's jackets didn't come close; so the gal at the Virginia Beach, Kathy, was wonderful. She remeasured and was having the jackets Fed Ex'd over to a Richmond store the next day. Yes, you apparently can pick up orders at Richmond, even though the Davenport store INSISTED that was not an option and ONLY Virginia Beach was available. The boys were able to pick up their jackets at 1 pm JUST in time to drive the 1 1/2 hours to the destination area of the wedding. It was a Stressful, Expensive, Horrible experience and I will NEVER recommend Mens...
Read moreI walked into this store with my son who needs a suit for a wedding and for school. I saw two people who worked there who were busy with other customers. We wandered around for at least 5-7 minutes. The people working there saw us but we were not even acknowledged. Fair customer service would at least require a “hello, I’m busy with someone else right now but will be with you in a moment.” Not even a “hello.” This isn’t the first time this has happened to my family either. As a company you ought to be ashamed of yourselves. We walked out completely unnoticed. If it were up to me I’d never visit again. Unfortunately since a wedding requires us to visit this establishment, we will have to deal with your unfriendly customer non-assistance. You may send your business associates to establishments such as Chik fil a or Kwik Star to learn how to treat a customer with respect, dignity, and delight. I work at one of these and am required to be kind and talk to even the most unruly, miserable customer with kindness. What has happened to customer service in retail clothing...
Read moreReceived the wrong tux size two days before my wedding. Regular fit when I ordered a slim. Was told the slim size was not available at all this summer from store associate. Had to call corporate office and stay on hold for almost an hour before talking to someone about getting what I ordered. Found out the store associates were lying about the size not being available from the corporate office. Still not sure what happened, or why I was not told until I picked up my rental why my order was wrong. Unneeded stress before my wedding. Had to waste another hour on the day of my reception to pick up my exchange that I could have spent with family that had traveled across the country.
When I finally talked to rep at corporate office, they were helpful and got my exchange processed quickly.
Had another groomsman fitted for regular fit because he wasn’t told there was a slim fit and wasn’t aware. Despite him commenting on wanting a more tailored and slimmer fit.
Felt rushed and dismissive by store associates throughout. Overall, terrible experience. Would...
