Very poor experience with iFix. Came in with a touchscreen laptop that was cracked, asking if he could replace it. He ordered a new touchscreen and replaced it, the service was relatively fast too- less than a week. Upon picking it up, he realized the touchscreen he ordered was not compatible and the touchscreen function no longer worked. He was not willing to return that new screen or try further to get it to work, and only gave me a 10% discount for it. I was annoyed, but I needed it for college so I just took it. In the two weeks after the laptop had strange issues that included it overheating and restarting at random, the screen freezing, randomly turning off after shutoff in my backpack and cycle-booting which would overheat the laptop until I manually shut it off. I was using the laptop with a cracked screen for about a week and a half before I came into iFix and none of these things were happening. Most recently, the laptop just crashed and now has booting issues, and simply just won't turn on. It is literally unusable and I have to now take it into another shop or buy a completely new laptop because something is wrong with the software on it now as well, not only the hardware. Im sure iFix meant well and tried to help but I dont believe he's an expert and really knows what he's doing when it comes to this kind of repair. I payed about 200$ and now have a laptop with more issues...
Read moreMy iPhone's battery swelled for no apparent reason, causing the screen to bend. I was concerned it might catch fire. Online, I found that others had encountered the same issue. They reported that when they visited the Apple Store, they were advised to replace their phones for around $700. I had a similar experience when I went for a repair. The staff at the Apple Store gave me several reasons why they couldn't replace the battery and suggested I replace the entire phone for $700. I don't understand why Apple is so greedy now. I declined. Sitting at the Apple Store Genius Bar, I called iFix Electronics, as well as a bunch of other nearby iPhone repair shops. Fortunately, iFix Electronics was able to help. The repair, which took only an hour, involved removing the swollen battery and installing a new one. Now, my phone is functioning properly again, and the screen is no longer bent by the battery. Although the new battery isn't "Apple authentic," I'm fine with that because the original "Apple authentic" battery swelled for no reason. Why should I continue with another "Apple authentic" battery that could swell again for no reason? I'm pleased with iFix Electronics' service, and they have successfully solved the issue and prevented me from being ripped off by the greedy...
Read moreHORRIBLE, WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. Don't listen to the 5 star reviews that the actual owners of the stores gave themselves. I would definitely give these guys zero (or minus stars if I could). I once took my laptop to these guys for screen change. My light has gone out and needed to be replaced. I even brought them the replacement screen I bought from Amazon. It took them over 2 weeks to fix the damn screen. Actually, it wasn't a fix because it never got fixed. When I went back there to pick up the laptop, the guy handed me my laptop with black and broken screen looking, and said they cannot fix it because the cable is damaged. They actually have broken it while trying to put the replacement and blamed on me. Then, they just said "oops sorry" and gave my laptop back with more problem, no screen exchange, waste of 2 weeks, AND now damaged screen cable so the laptop's basically a trash now.
These guys just want your money, pretending to be friendly with their fake smile just to get ur money, and horrible at fixing computer.
Waste of time and your money I'm telling you. Don't...
