Halloween Megastore — Local services in Daytona Beach

Prices are not awe-inspiring, but not marked up either. MSRP, pretty much. Shoes especially unimpressively priced. Layout is not optimal, yet their stock is still visible-- but you may need help reaching some items. There is no point complaining as they open seasonally in different locations; they work with what they have. Place was clean, there seemed only one soul on the clock, but she was friendly and helpful. Location was servicable with ample parking, including handicap spaces. There was good access from and to the road.

I usually go to Spirit, but they wanted to be in Ormond this year. I am not driving an hour to a Halloween store--it's not Universal Studios. So Halloween Megastore got my vote first from location. If they are similarly close next year, they have me then, too. Clean,...

While this was a large store with many items, it was very hard to navigate. The sections were thrown together, and it looked kind of messy.

As far as costumes, there was a large variety, although some costumes were very obviously old. For example, there were some costumes for the Clone Wars tv show that were advertising the new show. For those who don't know, this show started airing in 2008. The packaging also looked very old.

I will say that the selection for costume parts was excellent. If you needed costume makeup, or something for a decades costume, for example, there were entire sections dedicated for those purposes.

Overall, I wouldn't go to this store to look for a costume, but if I needed an accessory for a costume, this definitely beats...

This place is a fraud!! BUYER BEWARE--DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Bought a Batgirl costume t-shirt yesterday that I wore today of our school's Story Book Character Parade. I came home and put it in a laundry bag following washing directions on the label. I retrieved it out of the laundry bag and the yellow ink rubbed off and the black ink faded.
