talk about awkward from the moment we walked in, my husband , son and I decided to have a nice dinner after walking the volusia mall. we were dressed in shorts , tshirts and sneakers , as soon as we were acknowledged by the three hosts at the door they immediately made us feel uncomfortable by staring us down. My son is 2 years old and like any child very vocal and active. I asked for a table for two & a high chair . the gentlemen that was at the door felt the need to reiterate my statement & say so table for 3. he then just stared at us for a full minute before he decided to ask if we have reservations, we did not so we answered with No. he then stated to say that it will be a 20 minute wait. my husband and I looked around and saw the restaurant was clearly empty and had available seating. I felt so uncomfortable I just walked out, my husband walked out behind me after saying we will think about it.

I felt so uncomfortable and discouraged to sit down and eat, the hosts made us feel as if we weren’t good enough to eat at this restaurant . My husband and I are in our mid 30’s with tattoos all down our arms & it felt as if we were being discriminated against , in addition to being dressed causal in shorts & t shirt‘s that should be no reason to pass judgement and discourage customers away from ur business, you are next to a mall and should welcome all different types demographics! As business owners we recommend u change your approach at the door! Not only will I never give my money to this restaurant but I will also be discouraging family and friends from going to any bonefish grill. No one should ever feel that discomfort walking into a...

I have been a patron of Bonefish Grill for many years. Many good meals at half a dozen different locations. If there ever was a problem, a manager handled it quickly and efficiently. I can only think of one previous occasion where there was an issue. That's why I'm so surprised about our latest visit. In a restaurant not anywhere near capacity, we still waited several minutes to be seated. As we are directed to our booth we notice the fabric on the seats is so badly worn that there are holes in it. We order beverages that are delivered to the table in a reasonable amount of time. Bread comes next. Orders placed for two fish dishes with sides. Meals come to the table in what seems like a very long time but that seems to be the norm these days. The waitress asks if we need anything and I respond with, "Yes, we need napkins, forks, and knives". Another server goes to get the silverware and is walking towards the table with them when she suddenly turns and heads to the kitchen. I would estimate we sat with our food for 3 to 4 minutes before we were even able to eat. In all honesty, my entree was quite good. The other person in my party ordered Mahi Mahi. It was hard and dry. I've always considered Bonefish Grill to be one of our finer restaurants. I'm not sure what has happened at this location but they are giving a ban name to this chain. I would have to visit another location to know if it is company wide or just poor management in Daytona Beach. I'm not inclined to do that anytime soon. I gave three stars in this review. The third star is a gift because my meal was good. But it was a...

I chose this restaurant because my team wanted to eat here. I even called ahead about our party size, and although the table was ready upon arrival, the restaurant wasn’t busy at all.

Unfortunately, the experience started off poorly. Despite having a large group, we were never offered bread—something other nearby tables received without issue. Waiter was short out the gate. I didn’t want the energy at our table. I brought this to the hostess’s attention and asked for a different server, as our original one had already shown a lack of attentiveness.

Rather than discreetly handling the switch, the manager came over and unprofessionally asked, “Why do you want to change the waiter?” I stepped aside and explained that I’d rather not get into specifics, but would appreciate another server. His attitude made it clear why our original server was dismissive—she’s being led by someone equally unprofessional.

The manager never checked back in, which any attentive leader would have done. Instead of focusing on retaining business, he took the request personally.

The second server was kind, helpful, and far better, although we still never received bread. Oddly enough, the original server was the one who brought my meal out—perhaps to make a point.

To make matters worse, the napkins were dirty, and some silverware wasn’t clean. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. The restaurant has potential, but better leadership and basic hospitality are seriously lacking. I won’t...

Needs improvement, and the Managing partner is working hard to make that happen. Lets begin with the Bar. Not what you have experienced at other B'fish, its twice the size and centerpiece of the store. Just a little too bright and impersonal, very Industrial. Happy hour till 630 with small bites on menu too. Ordered 2 beers, waiting for round 2 took over 10min to get one of 3 bartenders to acknowledge. Then told, oh we served you the last Ultra, it will be a few minutes while we get more from the back. Did I mention this was happy hour?? On to the HH appetizers, "small Calamari " and the Imperial Dip. The dip was dry and lots of filler lite on fish. Calamari would have been a 5star except there was barely any. Most of what loaded the plate were breaded red peppers, while tasty not Calamari. Waiting for round 3 of drinks at the 8min mark, the Manager Chris happened by to ask how things were, before he could finish that sentence, he was filling our drinks. That's when we got the "working towards improving " talk. I agree with him on the changes he's implementing, and hope to be back soon and report those improvements. He was also kind enough to buy a round, while much appreciated, not necessary, thank you. Bottom line, if your patient and can look past the current short comings, it will be enjoyable. I will back in the next few weeks.

I was in Daytona for a National Boards review and I was looking for a restaurant that offered healthy and tasty options for lunch and dinner. Bonefish Grill checked all the boxes! ✅ I tried, in different occasions, the grilled mahi mahi with asparagus and jasmine rice which was really good, although the fish 🐟 was a tad dry. For lunch I had the grilled chicken 🍗 with steamed spinach and jasmine rice. The chicken was moist and perfectly cooked. Really good! On my last day in Daytona I returned for dinner and order the curled Chilean sea-bass 🐟 with spinach and jasmine rice. The fish was DELICIOUS and so well cooked. The filet of fish was extremely well cooked where peaces of the meat would flake off when using the fork, and the flavor was excellent 😋. I highly recommend it! I always ate at the bar and the staff was always kind and attentive. Really good job! 👏🏻 The atmosphere of the restraint is nice overall, however the Halloween/Fall 🎃🍁 decorations they put up are a little scarse… which is why I only have 4 starts for the atmosphere. If are going to decorate do it well! Overall I highly recommend Bonefish Grill in this location for a tasty and healthy meal. 🍽️

It was my first time eating there but my husband highly recommended it. Can't say I was disappointed. Great food, great service, it was really quiet for a Saturday night which I loved but my husband thought it didn't feel like a night out. For drinks my husband had a smoking old fashion, it was quite a presentation. I had a mojito which was good. For an appetizer we had the imperial dip with fresh tortilla chips, one of the best seafood appetizers I've ever had. My husband had the sockeye salmon, he said it was good, it was served with asparagus and mashedpotatoes. I had the special, steak and shrimp, I usually ask for well done (I know, it's a crime) because I don't like bloody meat but this was cooked perfectly, done on the outside but pink in the middle and pretty juicy, I had the sautéed spinch which needed a little salt and pepper. Overall it was a great experience, I would definitely go back again even though I'm not a big fish fan.
