Hudson's Video Games - Volusia Mall — Local services in Daytona Beach

They have a cute nice little store but that’s about it, all the prices of the games and consoles are over priced compared to the other 3 retro game stores that are less than 20 minutes away from the mall and they are all bigger than this store as well. Also you will have an easier time finding what you will be looking for at any of the other stores as they are bigger as I mentioned and have competing prices where sometimes you can even negotiate on a price of a retro game and have the chance to save an extra couple dollars where as here in this store they are charging the upmost dollar on each and every game and console and it seems like they won’t come down on any price. I walked in their and found a game I wanted but saw that it was priced at $20 but when I looked on eBay, and found the same exact game for $7 cheaper and it came with the complete game, meaning it game with the game case, Manual and disc, but here in the store they were missing the manual in the game case and were still charging more money than what it was on eBay! Also I called to compare prices on a GameCube console and they said they have it for $120, I called another resto game store that’s 10 minutes away from the mall and they told me they can sell it to me for $100! Guess they don’t want to have a completíveis business and when this store shuts down like almost every other store has done in the past in the volusia mall, this will soon...

The manager was misleading, disrespectful of our time and clearly has no interest in running this store with any integrity. We came in a few weeks ago and spoke to the manager about selling our pop collection and some other items. We showed him some of our valuable pops on the funko pop app and he said he was very interested. We explained that we knew we would not get the full value but were looking for half, this was brought up multiple times. He said he would pass the information along to his district manager since he was more qualified to price the pops, but not once did he mention that price was not possible. A couple of weeks went by and we heard nothing so we stopped in and asked what was up. He said he never heard back from his dm, but to just bring everything in the next day. We said we would be there at 12 when the mall opened and he said that was good. He was not there. The nice associate tried to help but said she did not know how to price the pops. After waiting around for hour for her to her to try her best at pricing the items and having to call the manager over and over she tells us they don't do anything over 20%. If they told us that from the beginning we would have understood and moved on. Now we will never go back there to shop and we'll never recommend this...

Five star experience today as a first timer visitor of Hudsons video games! We took our family to the mall to enjoy some fun and avoid the heat. Our smallest kept wandering over to Hudsons video games because of the balloons they had set up for a family day event. Daniel the employee welcomed my 2 year old and quickly gave her the balloon she was so interested in. After speaking with Daniel for a minute about all of the family friendly activities he had going on in store my entire crew knew we had to go give the store a proper look through. Daniel had a very nice stack of coloring pages and crayons for the kiddos and adults who wanted to participate in the activities! I enjoyed browsing the amazing selection of games from the past all the way to current as well as figures and technology long forgotten. To top it all off my boy and I got to go head to head in a n64 smash bros show down! If you are a local in the area or just in for a visit I highly highly recommend giving hudsons a walk through at the very least! Thank you again Daniel we will definitely be...
