Snowballs on the Beach — Local services in Daytona Beach

Stopped in yesterday, and it was just what I needed for my walk on the beach. Prices are reasonable and the service is great!

To the extent you're a shaved ice aficionado, although there is a snow cone (crushed ice) featured prominently on the counter, they have two cube shavers on the side counter that they use to make the snowballs. Since they don't use a block shaver, the ice is not quite as fine as Hawaiian shaved ice or what you would get with a SnoWizard Snoball Machine (which is typical in New Orleans), but the cube shavers they have do still produce a decently fine ice (no complaints). Great little place close to the pier that scratched the itch for a cold treat on a hot day. We got choc chip cookie dough and peanut butter/white chocolate flavored shaved ice. Had to do a double take to make sure those really were shaved ice flavors! Delicious! Guys that run the place are...

By far the best snow cone I have ever had! Very clean and friendly fantastic service! If you are looking to cool down from a hot day or just enjoy a sweet treat you need to make sure you stop by Snowballs...
