Restaurant is part of the hotel it's attached to, so parking is mostly only for hotel guests. Granted we went during the day, the hotel didn't really care that we parked in their lot, or we managed to miss their parking security by the time we left. You can park on the beach, but we didn't. I don't remember if the DJ that began playing mentioned a fee to park on the beachside or not.
Food - The prices were average of what I expected for beachside food - his was before we received our meals. Roughly $8-$15/a plate, or so. Tea is a bottle of Teak's pre-brewed, so, that was unexpected. Other drinks were fountain or bar. No kids menu. You can get a $6 massive plain hot dog, though (cheapest thing), with a tiny bag of Lays regular potato chips. Or be charged nearly $2 to sub chips for fries. The hot dog was very "baloney" tasting, and not good. The French fries are reminiscent of cheap, but overly priced high school baseball stadium food. Not the kind of fries I was expecting from a beachside "bar and grill". Portions rather small, asides from the monster hot dog which may be more for looks than taste. Honestly, I would ever go back here for the food. Tourist or not, the prices for the type of food we ate were terrible. I wouldn't have paid but maybe $3 for that hotdog meal, AT MOST. Our hotel down the street, roughly a mile, had similar if not slightly pricier items, but that food was seriously 5 star. This place I'd give 1 star.
Drinks - unsure of drinks, but from the way it looks, I can assume they'd be average priced, and may be actually good. I feel this is more of a "bar" place anyway, but the food was an after thought.
I gave it 3 stars only because the bartenders were really nice, the outside, though small seating area, seemed to be like a fun place for adults and may be older kids, but also the wide ocean view. Sitting at a table, though, you could see some waves, but they have many banners hiding what else view you could have from the porch edge. The tables were far back from the edge, though, too, and mostly the edge was only for singles or doubles who mostly want to sit and drink. There is a decent size of space separating the edge seating from the patio seating - of which I can assume is for dancing later, or for the corn hole game. There is a mini putt-putt area right next to you, but no one was playing it and it looked unkempt. At first the bar reggae music was enjoyable, at a good level to hear it well, but not in your face out on the patio. Then the DJ got set up and changed the music to random genres, which was OK, but I'd rather go back to listening to the reggae. I really should give 2 stars, honestly, but the bartenders that served us were great and the view was, for the most part, very wide, and it wasn't busy to where we couldn't enjoy the atmosphere. The food I will never return for. It was like going to your cheap uncles house who offered to throw a cookout, but you went only because he has a place on the beach, you like to hang out with him, and he has a decent...
Read moreThe food was by far disgusting as well as the service. I had ordered a Mahi-Mahi Wrap and it was not only extremely fishy, along with someother funky stuff in its appearance, there was also what I pray was just a bone in the fish. I kindly brought it to the servers attention (who also took quite a while to service me) and got the manager. Her name begins with a ‘D’, she was EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional. I told her my situation and asked if I could maybe order something else, but by her demeanor I was afraid to, so I kindly asked for a refund and she said agressively stated that there was nothing she could do since I had already paid and I was closed out. She kept telling me there was no WAY there was bone in the fish and she picked apart the wrap in front of my face and sternly said “what a waste” and threw out the food as she continued to mutter how there was no bone in the fish. Fortunately the adjacent hotel and their staff was kind enough to handle the situation and get me my refund. I would not have taken this much time to write this detailed review if the experience...
Read moreWent here for dinner because it was within walking distance of our hotel. After ordering our food at the bar, we wrote we would be paying cash tip because we intended to order more drinks throughout the night, the bartender called us back over and said since we wrote “cash” on the tip line that she could put whatever she wanted for a tip. Uhm, no maam we have all worked in the service industry and you cannot. She had a huge attitude after that and was extremely rude the rest of the evening. The kids chicken nuggets came with no sauce and we were told we had to pay $1 extra for sauce. (Kids meal with no drink was already $9) for what we paid for 6 meals plus an order of their cheese fries the food should have been much better. It tasted like cheap fair food. We were very disappointed and will not be returning. The bahama mama was okay but the would stick to booze if you plan to visit because the food is over...
