Aaron the assistant manager was incredibly rude to my wife and I. He didn’t know his own store’s return policies, specifically the 365 day return policy when the item is purchased with a Home Depot Credit Card. In his ignorance refused a return for my wife, that is still currently within the return period, first he said we needed to use the warranty (we were trying to return the item). Then he said the return policy doesn’t apply to electronics, (the item is a vacuum, and the policy on HD own website states it doesn’t apply to “consumer electronics” giving the example of a tv or radio). Then he tried saying it didn’t apply to appliances, (it doesn’t apply to major appliances like a stove, vacuum is not an exempt item from any return policy), then he told my wife since it had been over 90 days he couldn’t process a return, even though my wife had with her; her photo ID, the Home Depot Credit Card used to purchase the item, THE ORIGINAL RECEIPT, and the item in original packaging. This guy still refused to do a return. My wife ended up buying another one of the same item she was trying to return, ended up late to work, and put us both in a terrible mood. I have since called the customer service number and filed a complaint against Aaron and this location. Even Rigo, the customer service representative who I spoke to on the phone, said he didn’t understand why he wouldn’t accept the return. He also knew about the 365 day rule for items purchased with a HD credit card, there are some exemptions to this rule, a vacuum is not one of them. All in all I am left wondering how he got to the position of assistant manager when he doesn’t even know his own company’s return policy, as well as being rude and inconsiderate to repeat customers who are just trying to return an item. Very unhelpful and it ruined my wife and my own day. I will not be returning to this location as the managers clearly like to discriminate based on how people look or talk (the only possible reason I can think for not processing our return). This store can thank your assistant manager Aaron for the 1 star, I wish I could do negative stars. This man should not be a HD manager or...
Read moreDon’t place any delivery this people very incompetent;I place an order of 85 sheets of drywall and 15 bag of insulation and they brought the drywall all wet, I told the person I couldn’t receive it and the person told me if you don’t receive it you’re gonna have to wait a long time to get your order….I call them and spoke with a lady, who was telling me that I had to wait 7 days to get my drywall deliver….I ask for a supervisor but the lady told me their supervisor was going to tell me the same thing…. I was like ok I can start installing the insulation while I wait for the drywall bud when I installed one of the insulation bags, I realize that they sent me one that was the right size and the rest of them bigger than the one that I order I call them and they told me that they was going to send somebody to go pick it up for them to come so I waited the two days and I receive a call from the driver saying that he was seven minutes away from the address I told the driver I was 10 minutes away from there, the driver tell me that he was going to wait for me so when I started getting ready to go in my car I see the truck coming to my residence address I said of going to the job site address I told the driver you in the wrong address. Can we go pick up the bags from the jobsite address? He told me I can unless if Home Depot says the address the driver left and I call Home Depot and they told me that there was nothing that they can do then I had to wait for next day for them to come and pick up the bags of insulation. I waited next to the next day from 10 a.m. to 2:30 PM ain’t nobody show up or call me. I called a Home Depot and they told me that there is nothing that they can do. That the driver is a contractor that they are in transit I told the lady can you call them and she said that there’s no way to get in contact with them. It’s just so frustrating. I got a customer waiting and I’m losing since the 27th of December 2023, and today is 2 January 2024 and I haven’t got my complete order right. They are just so incompetent that I don’t want anybody to go through...
Read moreUpon my arrival at this Home Depot location (in Dearborn near Southfield freeway) I already had my intentions set on what I came for and to my comfort I found what I needed with ease, or so I thought. I’m an artist and needed some bubble cushion along with clear tape for artworks and found both at an end cap near the paint aisle. When I went to self scan I noticed that the price differed from what was on the end of the aisle and as I checked out I brought notice of this error to the associate that directed people in the self checkout. I proceeded to pay and take care of the matter afterwards. When I returned back to the end cap I seen that the entire section has the same size I just purchased and the pricing is the same across the entire shelf. I then take pictures to show this to customer service and let them know that it is a misdirected sales mark and possibly be reimbursed for the item’s pricing but am informed that there is nothing they can do. I then ask if I can speak to a manager. The manager that I spoke to, Zebrena (apologies if I butcher the name), tells me that there is nothing she can do and that a “customer” may have put all of the items on the wrong area (mind you, I do believe it was the wrong size of the item after further analyzing but was for sure an employee’s/company error of wrongfully shelving). The manager did not ask me how my day was going, apologize for the error on the end cap, nor attempt to find the RIGHT item for me to acquire the price I wanted. I ended up just paying extra money, staying longer than I needed to, and leaving as an...
