Habitat for Humanity ReStore — Local services in Delaware

Debated leaving a review but was pretty disappointed with my experience. I scheduled a donation pick up & even called a few days prior to see if they could give me an ETA on when they’d be there & confirm day/time. Somehow my appointment got deleted from their schedule so I waited half the day, then called to see if they’d be there anytime soon (I needed lunch lol) & they said they had no appointment for me. I told them I had the call logs to show I had called & made an appointment then called again to confirm/ask a question, but that didn’t matter. They weren’t able to come for a few days & I had to turn my keys in to my apartment before they could come again so obviously I got a huge charge for leaving the furniture :( Definitely wouldn’t recommend if you are moving out of somewhere also bc they can’t give you any ETA at all/unreliable. But if it’s just furniture at home, I’m sure it’s fine. Maybe ask for written...

Habitat has provided me with materials, Sinks, doors, windows, countertop, full 14 pc kitchen cabinet set, beautiful bathroom vanity cabinets and sinks at an amazing price. Also, furniture lights and tools. They have helped make my residential home rehabbing business sufficiently profitable over over seven years.They have been great to work with prices have been negotiable. Which I think they aren't anymore. However, anybody who thinks the prices are too high. They should probably go look and see how much things cost in a retail store. Monday Oct 7th. I dropped my donation of 2 boxes at front door because the back doors were locked. It was about 10 min to 5:00. I went to the front desk to ask the lady for a receipt to which she promptly reliped that we don't accept donations after 5:00. I informed her that I already brought my 2 boxes in the store. She seemed annoyed writing out the receipt as I mentioned the items that I donated and to one item I mentioned, oh we don't take those in a snarled voice. Hmm shouldn't she be or seem humble and grateful that people are donating? That's why I topically donate to a church or non profit organization and will do so in the future.Bye...
