If you can avoid this Taco Bell location, I highly recommend you do so. If drive thru Mexican food is a want in Delaware, Ohio then, I recommend Victor’s Tacos on Sandusky Street.
This Taco Bell location on Columbus Pile in Delaware, is consistently slow with lines that back up to extreme distance. It’s not the popularity of the location, simple mismanagement and poor kitchen execution.
Look, I get one should not expect a fine-dining experience, however; any person paying for their meal should expect to receive all of the items they have ordered, and paid for. I believe we as patrons of any business should expect to receive items prepared properly, either by their own menu description, or with attention paid to properly ordered modifications requested to those items.
I myself have been using the Taco Bell App to place my orders since it’s first availability for iOS devices. As far as an app goes, it is easy to navigate. My belief is that when selecting items for my families meal, and adding modifications which cost me additional funds, it is the least the restaurant can do to include those requests.
Consistently I am frustrated to arrive home, only to find multiple items not accounted for, paid modifications ignored, and an attitude from whomever I address these issues to of absolute apathy.
By using the app, we as consumers are given an opportunity to eliminate the possible misinterpretation of our orders. We purchase our meals before even even arriving on restaurant grounds. It would then stand to reason, and not be any real stretch to state that the consistency of this location taking monies from its customers and not providing the already paid for items, is theft. Plain and simple.
When a person attempts to call this location, one should not expect any staff to answer their phone. In my experience just this very evening I called many times, each receiving no answer. Due to the nature of Taco Bell’s website, the lack of any digital copy of the receipt, and no other local listing of the store number, any attempt to communicate with the greater entity is completely useless.
I believe Taco Bell as a larger organization, and Pacific Bells as a specific franchising group offers a great product at a fair price, however; in all the years I have lived in Delaware, Ohio I could never have expected such a paragon of the absolute worst service by any restaurant...
Read moreThis location is awful, and it's on management/ownership. For instance, their hours of operation listed here or on taco Bells website are wrong. They don't open until 11am but its still listed as 9am on their website. The worst part is that they leave their drive thru video screen on so cars will drive up thinking it's open (because why wouldn't they?) and then they just sit there waiting for someone to take their order until the person gives up and drive away. I've seen lines form in the morning when taco bell isn't open yet because each person doesn't realize the taco bell isn't even open.
They also leave a sign out by their drive thru often telling people who ordered online to go in to the lobby to get their food. Not only is this the only taco bell I've ever seen do that, but their lobby is closed most of the time anyway so people will try to do what they want and still get shut down at the door.
Those are such easy things to be fixed but they haven't been for months despite all the people on here complaining, which tells me ownership/management just doesn't care. Yeah their workers sometimes are rude and/or don't do a good job, but it seems they are always short staffed and I'm sure the workers there are trying their best.
Maybe if ownership offered better wages they wouldn't be so short staffed all the time, and if they showed they cared even a little bit about their business they wouldn't be bringing in all these 1 star reviews.
However I feel like it's more likely ownership just sits at home blaming Biden for all...
Read moreThis is a Taco Bell that got hit HARD post-COVID with service issues. Before, they were reasonably fast and very status quo. Now, they are notorious for closing their inside area unexpectedly, and what makes it 10x worse is that they leave a sign up in the drive through line that say mobile and pickup services come inside. So you get out of line and walk up to the door and it's locked. And this hasn't been a one-off ordeal. At least 6 times now I've gone by and experienced this. Food bats about 50% on accuracy when going through the drive through to the point that I count my items now before I even leave the window. I never used to be that person. There is the exception once in a great while where the line moves quick and service might be ok but it's very few and far between. Perhaps it's the rotating staff or the apathy of fast food workers in general but service hurts horribly.
Oh yes, and there's also about a 70% chance they will be open when you go at any time of day when they say they are open. Afternoons, evening, nights. They just unexplainably lock the doors and no one answers the drive through. I've had this happen at both 2pm and 9pm. Both times, after you pull around you can clearly see 2 to 3 people inside doing nothing. No idea what's going on with this business.
I get that fast food restaurants are hurting in general, but these guys really stick out as a sore spot right now. Lots of...
