When we bought our items from the store everything went well customer service was exceptional and when we were given information about our delivery day we were told we would get a call 40 min! Before our furniture would arrive. Fast forward to the delivery day I get a call from a gentleman blaring his music and had to turn it down to speak to me saying that he would be arriving in 10-15 min. I didn’t purchase this bed mind you, I was helping a friend. So we rushed over in terrible snow conditions to try and meet these people and when we did arrive they were already unloading the truck ready to work with no mask on and no concern for public safety, my friend (the purchaser of the bed) explained how we were told at the store about the 40 min warning call and how we needed more time bc she needed to be dropped off at work so she asked him if he could wait ten minutes so she could get dropped off at work and then me myself would come back and let them in. He agreed and said alright so I took her to work and dropped her off, I then return to the building to let them in for the delivery and nobody was there they had just left after they said they would stay there and wait for us and when I tried to call the driver back there was no answer and abc warehouse claimed they had no way of getting ahold of the driver and could only offer an apology. Read moreI've been an ABC shopper for decades and my experience at this location has been the worst. I ordered 3 appliances from them, all for pick up. 1 of them I somehow got charged delivery for, and I received email updates for when my appliance was going to be delivered (to the wrong address). They refunded me the delivery price, just lucky I caught it before it actually got on the delivery truck. Then once I got the appliances home and tried to hook them up, I realized they gave me a gas stove when I purchased electric. I called over a week ago to let them know of the mistake, they said the correct one was at the warehouse and would be there next day and to call back then. I called every single day last week, and every day I was told to call back the next day as it should be in. It never was. I finally asked if they would just call me when it comes in, as I'm growing tired of calling every single day and re-explaining the situation to whoever answers the phone. I was told they could not call me, that they already have to make a lot of phone calls. So this mistake on their part, they can't even make right by calling me when the correct one comes in. Read moreSince living in Lansing for the past 20 years, ABC has the reputation of having horrible customer service, broken/damaged products, and very poor delivery/handling of purchased products. If it were not for their prices they would’ve been out of business years before Covid. I recently bought a washing machine from them due to the fact they were $250/300 cheaper than everyone else. When in the store the service there was average. Had to wait a bit to be helped but once helped it went well and the people were nice. However once delivery happened it was horrible. Delivery people refused to take off their shoes!! Washer was all scratched up because they don’t no protect it or wrap it up when moving it. And when removing old they almost took out one of my walls. THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE FREE DELIVERY. in the end I had them deliver a brand new one still in the box and I had someone else carry it upstairs and install it. ABC is not to be trusted.
