The 38th Ancestors Day, a family activity, was held at Brother Jeff's Cultural Café, in Denver's Five Points. Celebrating with us this year:

I Called Out the Names of recent Ancestors from a list that I keep all year, and those present named others I didn't know of.
Snacks and jewelry crafts were donated by Dr. Carolyn Phillips, "Madam C. J. Walker"; and Elaina Canada sent pictures of Black heroes to color.
Children earned a share of my coconut full of dimes by giving their and their parents' names, their school, and telling "Who are you today", then counting and dividing them among themselves.

People from all over come to tell about important matters for a brief time, which Brother Jeff posts online.
I can take young children who are there, and do a little presentation for the crowd, who are always appreciative. That teaches children how to reach people, and helps keep them from being bored.
It would be nice if the cook there, with that great-smelling veggie sandwich, would once in a while make one without the hot peppers. That kind can double me over with pain. But it smells so good I have to go somewhere else to get...

We did a full body deep energetic cleansing in September’s Full Moon! I felt so light and free.
