I visited Brandon at copperhead tattoo months ago to get a snake tattooed on my bicep. I sent him several reference pictures of the style I wanted got the tattoo and was pretty specific on shading and color. This was by no means my first tattoo and I approached it as cautiously during the consultation process as I have with every tattoo I’ve gotten prior. At the time of my appointment arrived to find him with the drawing of what he was to tattoo prepared ahead of time. At first gslance at the drawing I should’ve walked. It was thick lines like it had been hastily drawn with a black crayola marker. But I thought to myself there’s no way he’d tattoo it that poorly and was probably using it just as a reference after seeing his other work. I proceeded to remind him no heavy black, and the colors to be primarily orange and green. I laid down and let him start working on the tattoo. Halfway through I looked up and was horrified at what I saw. A sloppy snake with the heaviest of black tattooed in red and brown. I’ve visited several artists trying to fix anything I can, but no one will because of how dark he went. I’m stuck with this tattoo and am for the first time in my life considering removing a tattoo. If you’re looking to get work done and value quality steer clear of this shop and...
Read moreI came in as a walk in for a flash tattoo. Granted I asked for a modification, but I wish they would have told me no.
I asked if I could make a change from a dog face into a cat face when I walked in. The front desk said they would confirm with the artist. But when I was taken back I asked the artist if that was okay and they were unaware of any edits. I then asked the artist if this change was okay and they said it was fine - and proceeded to attempt to draw it for about 20 minutes. Then they gave up and just printed out the first thing they found (a "hello kitty" face). At that point we were both over it so I said "whatever" .
All in all the line work was great, but to not be able to change a dog face into a cat face turned me off. I asked multiple times if i could have the marker to show them a few line changes... on my own body... and got turned down five times. It wasnt like it was the artists original work even. Then they charged me nearly double. I did say I would pay more but I thought that I would be paying for an artist to adjust it not slap something on after failing to make a minor adjustment.
I get that it was closing time for them, but if the answer is no...
Read moreMy husband and I are in Denver for our honeymoon from the UK and instead of a souvenir decided we wanted tattoos. We walked into Copperhead without an appointment and was immediately greeted with the warmest and kindest welcome, there was a woman, I think her name was Sam? Sorry if wrong! Mid tattoo with a client, she took the time to show us the flash and was v friendly and didn't make it seem like 2 people walking in at 5pm on a Saturday was an inconvenience (which honestly it probably was!) She had no space so text another artist called John who just left, he came right back. Drew up an awesome design which we loved and tattooed us right there and then. Whole place had such an unintimidating and friendly atmosphere, even for a couple of english tourists!...
