Denver Union Station Bus Concourse — Local services in Denver

This place is amazing. I totally wish we had similar.

I was able to take a train from my plane, walk 5 minutes on the same property, then catch a bus to my hotel. (Could have caught a bus to a ski resort, a train to Glenwood springs, or get anywhere in the country.) What do you have (on property) ♦️2 Amtrak trains (2 east and 2 west). ♦️Multiple national busses, ♦️multiple regional busses ♦️A train to the airport and other places in town ♦️7 more streetcar/local rail lines ♦️8 local busses. (Ok 2 connect to the civic center where you have another half dozen or so)

You all don't know how great you have it: Our transit center (Kansas city) is 5 blocks east in an activity desert. Sure great that eventually businesses might be there. Our greyhound station is across a highway another 4 blocks farther away, and even more out of the way. It feels like "We don't want to know you people exist" all exposed to the elements.

Out Amtrak is next to 1 streetcar, so not bad, And what 2 busses

While coming from Fort Collins to Demver to see the Philadelphia Phillies dismantle the Colorado Rockies, I had the opportunity to walk through the bus terminal. It was nothing special in comparison to the bus terminal at other Union Stations such as those in Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, PA, and Indianapolis, IN.

The bus terminal was clean and accessible fully, with an ample amount of space to traverse the underground terminal, without having to hassle with other people in more ways than none as they walked to get to the upper platform, or other busses from RTD and Bustang.

The main issue with this terminal was that the terminal smelt of urine and garbage, an issue some have with the situation of the terminal's location, additionally, there is a lack of a lost-and-found that I noticed some individuals complain about as they lost their items.

Overall, I will be here again, but the underlying issues should be addressed first before any further action...

I’m unsure if it’s always been like this but what’s up with security harassing people? Since when can adults not sleep while waiting for their destination bus? Why can’t adults sit on the ground if it’s more convenient? I got told I couldn’t wait in the bus station at all if I wasn’t waiting for a bus immediately. Why does a guard have to unlock a restroom facility? In the days I’ve visited, I’ve seen others who are no harm to themselves or others get told to leave or “wake up.” It gives such a negative energy to the place.
