I think 5 is a fair score based on price, location, customer service and overall experience. We stayed for 10 days in December. Check in instructions are sent via email but also main codes etc by text message if you don't have data (like me, travelling from abroad!). But def make sure you have access to wifi to check the instructions beforehand (they send check in instructions reminder 24 hours before check in, then the entry codes 30 mins before).
Amenities: Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. Plenty of toilet roll, tissue boxes. Plenty of spare towels. Plenty of bin bags. Spare blankets (but only one per room, this was fine for me as I was alone but might be a tug of war if two in the bed as it is a super king, and blanket was probably only king). Hand wash in bathrooms, kitchen. Dish soap. Dishwasher tablets. Laundry tablets. Tea (not 'proper ' tea! herbal), coffee, sweetener, half & half pots. Coffee machine in hallway that provides coffee, iced coffee, hot choc, chai latte.
Customer service (via email): I asked for more dish soap and this was provided the next day. I also realised the conditioner bottle was actually shampoo which was a bit weird but asked for this to be replaced - again done the next day.
Pros: Secure parking, building feels secure too. Neighbourhood felt safe. Very close to Ball Arena (15 min walk). Spacious rooms and massive beds. All basic provisions and smart TV Good heat control. Good wifi. Couldn't really hear neighbours (except for see below). Dogs! It is a very dog-friendly building so you'll probably make a few friends in the lift!
Cons (being extremely picky): You are right near the railway so you will hear the trains and also for us occasional loud bangs. But nothing too intrusive and not a problem overall. There were a couple of nights where the people above were thumping about - but this is not unique to this property! I always bring ear plugs and have my white noise ready so able to block it out. Why only one tea towel? Most places do this and I don't know why! It would be good to have an anti-slip mat for the showers. It would be good to have anti-bac surface cleaner in the kitchen. Rooms were a little bare - with bedside tables and bed - maybe chest of drawers would be nice? Although closets are very big. Also whilst big TV in living room, there was a smaller TV only in one bedroom (not a problem for me but could be for others!).
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and I would look at staying here, or another Kasa property...
Read moreOn September 16th,2021 we attempted to check in to KASA Denver Union Station. We were there to attend a funeral. After reading the check in instruction we attempted in vain to get in. It would not recognize my phone number. We tried with the code. We called Kasa and finally after someone answered, he said that maybe it did not recognize my phone because I did not add a 1 prior to the area code. Also the code used an "I" rather than a 1 (one) or the other way around. Frankly, for a platform that relies so heavily on technology, KASA should have worked out the technological kinks a long time ago and instructed people to place a 1 before the phone number and definitely not use confusing numerals/alphabet letters.
We finally got into the apartment 35 minutes later and a cleaning lady was shampooing the carpet (at 3:20 pm, which was well AFTER check in time. The carpet was soaking wet. So wet we could not walk without placing towels all around the apartment. We called KASA again, someone after 23 minutes said we could move apartments, but we had to leave to attend the funeral.
By the time, we got back, the carpet was just damp and we were tired and did not feel like moving apartments, so we never changed apartments, which again, being that KASA is a platform that relies so heavily on technology, KASA should have figured it out that we never checked in to the other apartment.
Which brings us to the next day, because we were locked out of our apartment for 45 minutes after having attended the second part of the funeral/memorial and being exhausted.
We called yet again, and after speaking with a team member who reads off of a script saying she was "really sorry for our inconveniences" , whereas all we needed was to get in to our apartment, she hung up. We called gain, and finally after a long day of grieving and 45 minutes of being locked out, she issued new cards.
We were not able to access our apartment for 103 combined minutes out of a less than 48 hour stay. It does not seem like yKASA cares about customers, despite the platitudes...
Read moreLeaving 1 star because I can't leave 0. They ruined the last day of our vacation. We had a cleaning service walk in completely un announced, no knock, no hello, nothing. Luckily we were in the room working on our laptops and refused to let them in. When I called customer service to find out what was happening they were unhelpful, rude, and unapologetic. SOMEHOW the last day of our trip wasn't booked on their end. And when I called to add another day I was told it would be an additional $500 because of "dynamic pricing" and I had " missed my window" to extend my stay at my pre selected rate by 30 min. They were absolutely no help and when I asked for a manager the lady put me on hold and came back with an obvious fake accent/ voice change, 100% still the same lady. Nothing within walking distance. Homeless people in the park across the street. And on top of that trying to scam me out of $500 for missing a 30 minute window? I don't think so. Stay anywhere else. These people will try to scam you any chance they get. We ended up staying at another hotel 10 min away for out last day, it was priced better, smelled better, had wonderful front desk people, and a better vibe. Kasa is over priced and our view was a wall 10 feet from our balcony. View at the new place? Oh that was the mountains at no additional cost. Much better options than kasa out there, kasa is literally renting out apartments they can't sell (this is a partially owned apartment building) because they are charging too much to live in the city. Avoid at all cost. Your wallet will thank you. I can't stress enough how abysmal the customer...
