UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: I would not purchase from this store if you have expectations of receiving your item in the timeframe they note to you. I ordered in September with hopes of a delivery prior to Thanksgiving. I was told this was possible, but not 100%. Okay, so if not 100% that meant that I may get it a week or two later. WELL, 6 WEEKS, YES 6 WEEKS after I ordered my item (and followed up in between on it) I was contacted about dimension issues because I ordered deep seats and a standard chaise. They needed my go ahead that the chaise was actually going to be longer due to the deeper seats (duh?? I would've assumed this to begin with). I answered RIGHT AWAY to the email. Well I have no idea what they did for 6 weeks but was told now that this was pushing my order back by A LOT, essentially the estimation was around the new year. I made a fuss over it, because I had specific plans to at least have this a couple of weeks prior to Christmas and had this whole vision of how the space would be for the holidays (not to mention I currently have a two seater couch, which means I don't have enough seating for holiday company). After making a deal of it they put me in contact with customer service, they said they were expediting things and my couch should be done in 2 weeks, then to check back in on delivery after that. Well they absolutely had insinuated they'd expedite the shipping and everything for me, I mean I explained in detail why I wanted it before Christmas and all. Now that the 2 weeks passed, I checked in and they said its shipping from CHINA in a couple of days. I asked how long it takes to get here from there and was told about 4 weeks and it goes to L.A. then from there another 2-3 weeks to get to my delivery area. WHAT?? That puts my order getting to me AFTER NEW YEARS. Over a month after the original timeline. So, suffice to say my holiday plans are ruined by this. I have another email out explaining my extreme disappointment in this and how they need to be more transparent about their whole delivery process. I don't know why anyone insinuated they would expedite my shipping and after patiently waiting 2 weeks for the item to be done, they tell me the same thing the first girl told me once they had halted my order over the dimension issue. In all reality the order issue should've been caught well before 6 weeks past. At the 6 week mark is when it should've already been preparing to ship. I had debated on canceling and getting another couch when they first told me it was going to throw my order delivery way back, but then they told me they'd expedite things so I trusted with all the information they knew about when I wanted it that they wouldn't say this unless it was feasible to get it to me at least a week before Christmas. Doesn't look like that will happen, and now if I try to order from another company it is far too late to expect them to be able to deliver a week before Christmas as well. So its a lose lose all around. I had seen prior reviews that were terrible about their shipping but most of them happened around 2022 so I thought I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Suffice to say I am not happy and will not recommend them to anyone nor will I purchase from here again UNLESS they somehow fulfill their promise to expedite this and it gets to me before Christmas. If so, I'd be happy to update my review again.
Original review: So far, so great! So glad I stumbled across Interior Define's Tiktok ad. I was close to purchasing with another company but once I found Interior Define, they quite had the other company beat out in so many aspects. Sydney has been my design expert and has been super helpful and responsive along the way. Hope to be even more impressed once I receive my custom...
Read moreThe only reason I'm posting this on google reviews is that the company is not responding to support emails within a 5-day timeframe.
I simply need more clarification on the supply chain backlog. We're past the guaranteed delivery date, and given the plans I had for my residential new build, I need to know if I need to go with another supplier. My preference would be for the order to be fulfilled before November, but given the vague responses this company is sending out I dont know what to do - if that's not going to happen, then I need a refund ASAP so I can go with another supplier.
When I reach out to customer experience, it can take days to get a response, and every time it’s the same "we're experiencing a disruption in our supply chain" response. I'm on the verge of filing an official FTC complaint, disputing the charge with NFCU, but I wanted to check with the business first to see if they can provide any clarity as to:
• Why the disruption is happening, and only seems to affect your company and not competitors. • Do you have the money to fulfill the order, or did you mismanage my payment? • What specific mediations are occurring to clear the backlog? • What order/methodology specific orders are in? I.e. is the backlog FIFO? How many orders are before mine?
I ordered a sectional and was given a delivery window of 22-25 weeks with a verbal promise that it would arrive sooner than that. The 25-week mark was October 8, and the product has either been lost or has sitting in port for months.
Throughout the process, I was given different dates for delivery. My shipment was given "On the Water" status on June 26, and included an email that stated the items would leave Interior Define's Los Angeles warehouse on August 18.
Shortly after I got an email referencing "supply chain disruptions" at that point the customer experience team gave me an estimate of "Late September to Early October."
Without any other further communication, I reached out on October 3rd and was informed that they wouldn't have an update until "toward November" - which is well past the promised-by shipping date.
Since then, I have reached out via email on October 13 requesting a refund, and have not received a response yet. I have reached out on Twitter, LinkedIn, TrustPilot and the BBB - but none of those methods are giving any indication that Interior Define knows where the item is or if they intend to deliver on their delivery...
Read moreHad a really disappointing experience with Interior Define. Custom ordered a chair when I got my first home. I spent $1200 which for a chair is a significant amount of money for me- but I was excited for my new home and wanted to get something special for the space to celebrate. I never got the chair. Interior Define went under. I called / emailed / contacted everyone I could for months and couldn’t get through to anyone to get any answers. I was eventually emailed the Interior Define (ABC), LLC – Notice of Assignment & Proof of Claim Form #10557, which I completed and submitted on the same date. I never heard back - and again couldn’t get ahold of anyone.
I was driving around the other day and saw they had re-opened. I went in and explained the situation. The male manager working incredibly rude and cut me off, demanding an order number when I was explaining everything, which I was pulling up in my email. He then questioned me about why I hadn't called or tried to resolve it sooner, putting the blame on me. I explained that I had tried to get a hold of someone for a very long time and spent months and hours and hours of my personal time on hold and on the phone and emailing to try and resolve the issue in the past and kept getting nowhere. I had no idea they had ever re-opened until I happened to see the store. The female working was pleasant and I would have been happy working with her in the future, but the manager treated me incredibly poorly. He was openly irritated with my request and presence.
I later got an email that the best they could do was give me 50% off store credit for the $1200 I had already spent to buy something else. So I would get $600 off a new purchase. I explained that wasn’t an option for me and I did not feel comfortable sinking more money into furniture I could potentially never get again. I already spent $1200 and received nothing. They said that would be my only option.
If you have thousands of dollars to gamble with - order from here. I personally did...
