This place is incredible. My wife & I showed up on a Friday night an hour before closing. The staff had just finished a private fitting for a wedding party and so it wouldâve been understandable for them to be anxious to get home and end their day.
However, from the moment I walked through the door everyone was very welcoming and they offered to give a breakdown of what the brand is about. Trey handed me a tissue when he could see my glasses were fogged up because it was snowing outside. I didnât ask for that, nor have I ever expected that kind of attentiveness from a sales associate. But that was just the tip of the iceberg at State & Liberty.
Trey offered me & my wife drinks. She had white wine, I had Woodford Reserve. Incredible!! The soundtrack was so upbeat and fun, and Trey has a great voice and wasnât afraid to sing along when one of his jams came on. So much fun!
Admittedly, I do not usually enjoy buying clothes because I am a âhusky gentlemanâ. But Trey has a large frame himself and made me feel very comfortable during the process. And let me tell you, State & Libertyâs product is second to none. The fit, the fabric, the stretch⊠Itâs amazing! I felt fantastic in the âtry onâ garments. SO COMFORTABLE!!
State & Libertyâs on hand product line is geared towards dudes who are a bit smaller than me. As a result, I got to experience ordering a custom fitted suit. Trey was so helpful and made the process so much fun!
During the process of getting fitted, we also got to meet Talia, the Sales Manager for this location in Cherry Creek North. Talk about a bundle of energy and joy! She brought such a fun, warm, friendly energy to the process. Her & Trey are a well oiled machine. We were all chatting and enjoying each otherâs company while I got fitted for a fantastic suit. I cannot wait to take delivery in just five weeks!! For a custom garment!!!
Everyone there was so helpful and so enjoyable. They have a ton of enthusiasm for their product and they obviously enjoy working together. My fitting lasted about half an hour beyond closing time, and not once did anyone in the shop mention that fact. They were all consummate professionals and stayed till the job was done. This kind of customer service is rare these days. State & Liberty in Cherry Creek North is doing it right.
The price was incredibly reasonable for such a fantastic product. If youâre not familiar, they offer suits and dress shirts made from âathleticâ like fabric that is 4-way stretch, low maintenance, and practically wrinkle free. You can wash these things at home. No more dry cleaning!!!!

   Read moreI scheduled a suit fitting appointment based on a friends recommendation. I created the appointment online for a 42 blazer and 34 pants. Went to the âsuit fittingâ and tried on a 42 blazer and 34 pant in heathered light blue. Both fit great so I made the purchase. Was expecting the suit fitting to include measurements and alterations, but was informed this store doesnât do that. Oh well, I liked the suit.
Jack that was helping me noticed the 2 heathered light blues didnât match and couldnât find any sizes that were a color match so said he would order it.
This is where the problems started. He totally messed up the order on the blazer by ordering the wrong size and color. He ordered a size 40 instead of 42 and heathered blue instead of light blue. I noticed when I got back to the office and called the store. He apologized but insisted I tried on the size 40 blazer but he would correct the color issue.
Well I finally get the suit and try on the blazer and it is not the right size. I go to the store the next day with my suit and ask to try on a size 42 and the guy helping me said that fit perfectly and processed the exchange. Prior to the exchange I asked him to confirm if the blazer and pants were an exact color match as previously the pants/blazer combo was not and he said it was even though it was hard to tell in the light.
Got home and tried the suit on in different lights in the house and outside and clearly the blazer is a shade or 2 darker than the pants.
Iâve been to the store two times and have received incompetent service. I couldâve just ordered this online myself knowing my sizes and skipped the âsuit fittingâ. Iâm returning the mismatched blazer and pants and reordered in hope you send the correct size and matching color. Iâve wasted a lot of my time dealing with this. Youâre going to pay for shipping at least 3 times due to your employees inability to do their job. And if the next suit is not correct you can pay for shipping a 4th time as I wonât return to the store.
Iâve spent at least 2+ hours dealing with the issues and am extremely disappointed. Donât call it a suit fitting. I couldâve walked in off the street and tried on a pair of pants and a blazer and been told to go to a tailor. And the fact that some employees are aware even though a heathered light blue pants and blazer should be the same color but might not be leads me to question the quality of your product.
Hopefully Iâm not wasting my money. And hopefully you are able to make this right in some way as Iâm extremely disappointed and wouldnât even be purchasing from your company if I didnât have a wedding to go...
   Read moreUnless you want to be max stressed and risk not getting any of your suits on time for your wedding I would avoid this shop like the plague. We ordered 4 suits for myself and the groomsmen and 3 out of 4 had issues. (Surprise, the 3 that were ordered from the Denver location). My suit had the wrong lining and had to be redone, cutting it incredibly close and adding undue stress. The groomsmen's suits were messed up with the wrong stitching and the wrong sizes and needed to be redone. They sent one groomsman away with the âfull suitâ but luckily he checked the bag, because they didnât include his pants!! Again, they were going to send a groomsman, to a wedding in a different state, without his pants. They gave the ole âhehe oops the pants arenât actually readyâ and now have to rush to get them tailored correctly with 24 hours remaining. Avoid, avoid, avoid! They take no accountability for their errors and mistakes or the massive stress that they cause to the bride and groom. I deeply regret going to this store and would like for you to avoid the stress that they have caused me. I award them 1 star and a grade of F- -. Get your store in order!
Update: Madi reached out and spoke with me about the frustrations I had. It sounds like they are implementing some changes that will make things better at this store.
