I have never given a 5 star review but I'm starting now. This review is for two people at the Cherry Creek Sephora store. One is Anna Estes - Store Director. The other is Sean who is a skincare expert. Now let me begin by saying I love makeup and skincare and hair care products but rarely have time to actually use them other than in a cursory manner...a quick lash of makeup and I'm out the door...hair in a bun. But I had decided I wanted to get something/face creme to "pick up" my sort of dead looking face. With that said trying to figure out what I wanted seemed a ridiculous project. So I told Sean I thought I wanted "Tatcha" but that I had low funds ($) and wanted something that could do triple or quadruple duty...and that is exactly what Sean gave me!! I was in a hurry and he put up with my hurried manner. I gave him an impossible task and him came up with a solution!! Awesome. But the kicker...as Anna rounded to the counter pulling out products was when Sean said "you've spent over $75 and you get a free facial!!" "who me?!!" looking around..."moi?!!" something free that has actual Value?!! I never get anything...give yes, but "you talking to me?" Oh my gosh...with Anna making sure I was comfortable Sean managed to make me feel like a million bucks. There I am in my ratty work clothes. Hot from the 94° day...and they just swept that ugly day right out of my heart and off my face where I left it outside of the Sephora glass doors. And just like that they turned me into a Queen. Sean laughed as he showed me the disgusting remnants of what had been on my face. Anna reassured me "don't be embarrassed it was the same for me too" and between the two of them they made me feel just awesome!!!! It's been well over two months since they helped me. I love my Tatcha product. And the wonderful SPF product "Peter Thomas Roth" Instant Mineral Sunscreen" (I work outdoors who wants to put creme on sweaty skin...the powder formula is awesome!! thank you Sean!!) that Sean suggested and left Sephora knowing I'll be back again. And yeah I may not get a free facial next time...but it won't matter cause the folks at Sephora rock - they want to help you and enjoy doing it. And for once it made me feel like less a drub, next customer in line than a Queen if only for an hour!! Sean you are wonderful. You've helped me several times and are always kind and always get me the products I need. And Anna you run a beautiful/tight ship capable of sending this Cinderalla to the Palace if only for a "few"...a "few" is all I needed! Money...
Read moreI’ve never received bad service at this Sephora. Compared to Ulta, whose customer service is downright deplorable, Sephora provides great customer service meaning they check in with customers to see if you need help, if you’re finding what you’re looking for and if you don’t need anything they generally don’t bother you. I always leave with a product that I really like when I get help. So Ulta, take notes please.
Customer service: For me, it’s stellar and the people on the floor actually do their job. I had one of the staff who isn’t an mua and justa restocks and cleans but was very knowledgeable about the products, introduce me to some Huda lipsticks. This sold me on that item. She was knowledgeable!!!! If one person doesn’t know about an item you have a question about, they will find someone and get you the help you need. They don’t shrug you off. Also, for this afrolatina, it’s NICE not to be stalked and followed around like I’m a thief (Ulta does this and they’re trash for that). I never had issues with getting samples of items to try from makeup to perfumes to creams. Need to return a product? As long as you have the receipt and card you used, no problem. I had successfully exchanged Fenty foundation with no problems. Good luck trying any of this with Ulta.
Products: They have a variety of high end products as well as their brand of affordable cosmetics which aren’t bad at all! They don’t carry drugstore brands, just a heads up! But most of their high end products always has those smaller, bigger than a sampler but smaller than the standard, products in the aisle close to the registers. I bought a smash box sampler set for $22 (it was on sale way before Christmas) and now I want to invest my money in the standard product since I liked how they worked.
Orderly and cleanliness: Sephora doesn’t have boxes of products just sitting out there like Ulta. Shelves are usually stocked and cleaned. If the item isn’t on the shelf, they will check their drawers before checking the back.
Rewards Program: I find that I rack up points quickly (surprisingly enough) and I love that you can save the points up. It was offered to me and they always make sure to ask if you have a rewards account. They will also tell you “Hey you have x amount of points!”
Overall, I always enjoy my experience at...
Read moreWorst sephora I've ever stepped foot into. I went in looking for a specific product. It was a mini so I looked around near the registers because that's where most minis are. When I couldn't find it, I asked an older lady and she said all the minis are where I already looked. When I stated I'd already looked there she just walked away. Next I asked one of the girls wandering around, she was mid 20s and a little heavier and she was so awful and rude. She was probably the rudest person I've ever come in contact with in any store. I asked for her help explaining that I'd looked online the night before on their website and it said they had the product in stock. When I asked her to help me look for it, she said she had no idea what product I was talking about and that they didn't make a mini in the product I was asking about. When I tried to say something else she just walked away. So I went to one of their tablets they had and I looked up the product on their website and asked another girl for help and I showed her on the tablet. She was also a little rude and she said sometimes the website hadn't updated or its taking shipment that hasn't reached us into account which I understood and I was about to drop it and give up when the heavy girl came over and started talking over me and she said "I already told you. We don't carry that product. We don't have it" she was so rude and she talked over me and refused to give me a chance to speak. That's when I threw down the lipstick in my hand, grabbed my friend and walked out. My friend hadn't heard the conversation so she didn't know why I was so upset but when I explained it to her, she understood why I was so upset. On my way out I said multiple times that this was the worst sephora I've ever been to and the customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. I can't believe how awful the employees at that store were to me. I'll never go back to this location, I don't care how much further I have to go. I'll go to flat irons before I ever go back to...
