Short Version: I have worked with at least a half dozen masseuses in my life and Patrick is the absolute best. Booked a 2hr session to work on some serious problem areas (just moved to the state) and less than a week later I booked a reflexology appointment. Don't question it, just book it and try to get Patrick but good luck because I've probably already taken that time slot. Long Version: I'm new to the area and booked at the Denver location based on their high rating and proximity (read as: Im just lucky). The online portal is intuitive and allows you to add notes regarding injuries/problem areas as well as leave a tip (you are charged immediately upon booking), which is very convenient. The entrance is on the street and as soon as you walk through the first glass paned door you enter a hallway that has Silk Thai behind a second straight ahead. Small waiting area but only because they maximize the space for about 4 massage rooms and some staff areas. Upon my first visit I was immediately greeted and offered water/tea, as I was about 15 minutes early. A bit ahead of my time slot Patrick greeted me, showed me the room, and gave me the typical instructions. Once we started he spoke to me about my notes on problem areas and made sure that I was comfortable. He identified knots and general tightness in areas I hadn't realized had issues and worked them to my comfort as well as performed a variety of stretches. I sit at a desk all day and am active all night (lol) which leads me to have a wide range of problem areas but Patrick was patient and thorough for every minute of my massage. Typical of the other great masseuses I've worked with he gave me rationale for why I was facing certain issues and even some exercises - what was atypical was the amount of effort he put in to release knots which resolved some that I must have had for months if not longer based on how stubborn they were. As others have noted, tea was served after my massage and some fruit. Very professional experience. In fact Patrick was so great, that once I saw he performed reflexology as well - I booked an appointment less than a week later. Equally fantastic (water before and tea w/ Crackers after which makes me wonder if your post massage snack is tiered but either way better than most parlors) and I would advise you to prepare to go through some full leg stretches as well as an epsom soak with reflexology as well. I plan on becoming a member and booking another 2hr (they only have monthly memberships up to 1.5hrs) as the membership gives you 10% off...
Read moreAccommodating, restorative, and effective. As a fitness instructor and dancer who experienced severe wipeouts while skiing, I needed urgent work to help my sore and injured body. Silk Thai Therapy Denver was able to take me for a 90-minute session on short notice.
If you need deep muscle work, ask specifically for Patrick! He is a miracle worker who works with surgical precision. He was very welcoming, offering tea before and after. I needed full body help: from limited neck mobility, to a tight back, and a completely wrecked lower half. Patrick attentive to my litany of issues. He helped me learn about what I was experiencing in my body, even bringing awareness to challenges I wasn't aware of. He reminded me of an encouraging coach during parts that required teamwork.
Patrick is one of the most efficient therapists I've seen. As a yoga instructor who has worked with multiple PTs, Chiropractors, and Massage Therapists, I could sense a diverse breadth of knowledge in how he scans the body and identifies steps to rehabilitation. He interwove multiple therapy modalities and did not aggravate any of my injuries, even when doing deep tissue work with high pressure.
I definitely got my money's worth. I came in hobbling, and left feeling light and limber again! 10/10, book a session with Patrick and...
Read moreThere are a lot of highly rated places in Denver to choose from, but any other choice is 2nd best if you’re not seeing Patrick at Silk Thai. I’ve had a lot of massages over the years and they’ve been great, but in one session he worked through what had to be a decade of physically manifested stress. As someone who works at a computer and has been an athlete for life, my body’s been through it. The spa is beautiful and relaxing, everyone I met was so welcoming and kind, and the massage had me feeling like a new person (as generic as that sounds, I’m so serious and I’m only in my 30s). Patrick will tailor passive stretching and manual pressure to what works for you - I prefer more (to work through knots) and he delivered gently and conscientiously, resolving tightness I didn’t even know I had. Not to mention he’s so pleasant and funny! To top it all off you’ll get a cup of soothing tea after your massage…I’m booking a few sessions in advance because this place is going to book up fast. Thank you Patrick!
P.s. if you’re unsure about the stretching aspect of traditional Thai massage, just trust me - the Silk Thai Massage is...
