wasn’t expecting much walking in. I was on an active search a few months back for the pizza of my dream. I almost had it . Almost. Fast forward to last night. Being our first time we requested the expert rec of our female server. I knew I wanted to try their white pizza no matter what. It is after all their namesake. We also ordered their Cacio y Pepe. Red Sauce Pizza and their equally famous House Puff and Ceasar Salad. Oh their generously sized Cannoli! So we were all bombarded by all the goodness on our table! The burnt edges on the Red sauce pizza. The amazing looking yolk in the middle of the White Pie. White Pie is the one for me. The taste was uniquely it’s own. It feels healthy because of the thin but desirable crust. That burnt wood taste only afforded by real wood burning oven. That’s my holy grail. It’s actually there. It’s present and it’s on your tongue. My senses tingle with gratitude having found this slice of heaven. It doesn’t stop here. The Cacio y Pepe is where lies my allegiance to this place. One of the best! Like someone went to Italy and brought some home. For me. Me. It’s such a simple Italian dish.. and includes only black pepper, Pecorino Romano cheese, and pasta. The simplicity kills me. The taste? Amazing. Prize?? Who cares! But ok. This isn’t a cheap pizza joint. An order will set you back about $15. Gasp? Hey you can’t put a price on the good stuff in life.

Update 9/13/23: Oof, just yesterday I gave this place five stars but today I tested them and once again they failed in one area but promptly fixed the problem. I walked in and ordered a solo cannolo (the guy ringing up my order chuckled and corrected me saying “cannoli”… in America sure, but I’m also not wrong). Again tonight when it came out, it only had the mascarpone filling on the very ends to make it look filled. Thankfully the manager was able to go into the kitchen and show the staff how to properly fill one, but I worry this may be some sort of scheme they run on take-out cannoli orders. So just be aware, if you order cannoli, make sure it’s filled. Review 9/12/23: I don’t normally give a place five stars, but white pie knows what they are doing. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now. Got a variety of things to try instead of just a pizza. Overall very impressed. Simple menu, simple food, but not simple flavors. Cool atmosphere and an oven that definitely does the job. Here is what I ordered: Porky Porkorino Love a wood fired pizza, the crust was well done on the edges, the pepperoni were huge, and the hot honey was a perfect addition. Ate half the pie… would have enjoyed a crispier bottom as you get closer to the center but the flavors made up for that. 8/10 Cannolo & Churro Cannoli These were super tasty but both flavors were not actually filled… there were simply dollops of the mascarpone filling on the ends to give the illusion that they were filled. Not sure how it could have been a mistake since it happened on both but I gave the restaurant a call and they promptly apologized and comped those off of my order. No harm, no foul. The lemon zest on the regular cannolo was a great addition. The bites I did have though, 9/10 (5/10 with the error) Caesar Salad The dressing tasted homemade, not like from a bottle. Enjoyed it but didn’t pack a ton of flavor. Could have used two things of dressing in such a big box but oh well. 6/10 Meatballs Al Forno These were tasty, not much to say about them. Happy with the meatballs and the sauce. 8/10

I had a blast and indulged in super yummy pizza at White Pie. It was comfortably crowded on a Monday night about an hour before closing. They have a very clean dining room with a cool view of their pizza oven. We were able to get a table right away and the service was stellar from the moment we walked in the door. We had beers and started with their House Puff with a side of hot honey as recommended by our server. It was a fantastic recommendation as it took the already tasty puff to the next level (I do think that it had better for an additional $2 for a small ramekin). We didn't need to eat the whole puff but we did. Then we had a the Burrata Banger (my favorite, surprise as my Chicago born husband usually likes deep dish more than me) and the Three Meats. We finished our leftovers over the next couple of days and it was just as good later as it was at the restaurant. We're definitely looking forward to our next visit!

Omgosh! I am blown away by the food here. Beef carpaccio was divine. Puff bread basted with rosemary garlic butter and drizzled with hot honey…whoa. Then they brought out the Porky Porkerino pizza and I almost cried it was so good!! the sauce alone ….so smooth, so perfect. Just the right amount of cheese. The crust…there are no adequate words to describe its thin, crispy and savory glory. Did I mention the service? Just the best. Hands. Down. Best. Any of the whiny b**ches who have complained about service over the past year must not realize that we are in a pandemic. We were served quickly and with such friendly staff who checked in regularly (Patti we love you!! Same goes for Gina-you both are the BEST!!!) Tonight I will dream of Cannoli. Rich, delicate, divine Cannoli. Wow Great food, great cocktails and wine, lovely ambiance My new fave place.

On a visit to my dentist someone mentioned this place. What a nice suggestion! I liked the high ceilings and exposed brick. The pizza oven is right there for you to see while you eat. There is even a bar around it. We got the arancini, garden pie and cannoli. The arancini had a nice crust with a sauce bath that had a little bite to it. The garden pie had a bit of a salty taste that went very good with the garlic. The pie is thin and some of the sides are charred. In our case the charring was on the burnt side but it didn't take too much away. The cannolis were also good. Not sweet and a bit of lime shavings that I really enjoyed.
