They are running a racket. When you first drive in, the machines do not dispense tickets and there was no one in the booth. Signs at the defunct machines say to either download an app and pay ahead or park and then go to the kiosk on the first floor near the elevators in the far corner. I opted not to use the app as I was in a hurry and decided to park on the fifth floor as I had a large vehicle and go downstairs to pay through the kiosk. Used the elevator, went downstairs to the kiosk, waited in line behind five or six people while an attendant helped them get through the machine. Was there about five or six minutes waiting for others. Paid for four hours at eight dollars. Received a receipt for eight dollars paid. Went to the Denver Art Museum, came back a half an hour early within the timeframe for which I paid. Saw a parking violation on my windshield. Violation said I did not pre-pay and then they were charging me $35. Called the number on the ticket that was issued by the parking garage. The woman who answered was very rude, very short and extremely defensive even I was I was just trying to ask her different questions about the receipt versus the violation for clarity. She asked for the ticket number. The only ticket number I had was on my receipt. She barked at me that was the wrong number. So I asked her if she wanted the parking violation number (also 8 numbers). She said the ticket number. I gave that to her again, she yelled at me. Then I said, "listen I'm gonna give you the parking violation number." I gave her that and she said "that's it!" It does not say ticket number, that is a parking violation number for future reference if you have to approach this woman on the phone. After I gave her that, her attitude changed when I told her, "your people charged me for a ticket that was already paid, I'm not gonna pay more than that." She said flippantly that they're going to just cancel the ticket, it's been voided. I plan on calling in a few days in the hopes that this has definitely been voided and that I don't get the same person on the phone because she was very, very rude. Beware of this parking garage. It doesn't speak well of the surrounding areas that rely on this parking garage. It doesn't speak well for Denver either. It leaves...
Read moreThis parking requests you to pay the money ahead. It is kind of fishing business to me. When you drive in the parking lot, the gate is open, and seems you are welcome to park anywhere. But if you don't pay ahead, they will give you a parking violation. If you are from other states, you should be very careful. Because they will never answer the phone calls, nor there is a place for you to appeal. In their link, only allows you to pay the money. They earned a lot of money through this way? Usually you should take a ticket at the gate and pay when you leave the parking lot. They invented this way, to earn the money from violations? I am from a different state, and visited the Denver Art museum a few days ago. I expected to pay the parking fee after my visit, but received a violation. I visited the office and no one was there at 2 pm afternoon on Tuesday. Even security person was not there (no security was there when I drove in the lot as well, and the gate was open). I called, no answered. People in Denver are usually very nice, and this business is a shame and is bad for the reputation of Denver City. I love Denver, but am really not appreciate...
Read moreDo not park here. EVER! Have been using the pay by phone app for last few months, did today as well. When I went to leave they said that app is not supported by their garage system. The guy answering the call "Robert" was so rude. I was there for 30 minutes and paid 2.00 he wanted me to pay again since I had a ticket. I told him I used app and his comparison was You dont go to mcdonalds to order a red Robin burger.
No sir you don't have signs that say you can use an app then not support that app. Very...
