Plum Market... where your groceries have sales tax because there’s a table and chairs. Can’t even buy some unwashed grapes without paying sales tax. Everything is overpriced and they spray perfume/scents on their packaging to trick your brain into thinking it is fresh. The employees are rude and hood. And they probably couldn’t afford the grapes. This is a joke in Detroit the poorest city in the country. I’d rather go to eastern market and support Michigan farmers and Detroit small-businesses to help our local people prosper, not make some greedy millionaire in Oakland...

I really like Plum Market because it makes good and healthy food accessible and quick. I have eaten from the self serve bar several times and although it is a little pricey for the amount of food you get, the food is always fresh and well stocked. Around lunch time, the market gets pretty crowed, but it is well staffed so the line moves quickly. I like their salad bar because they have lots of fresh veggies, cheeses and other toppings. They claim essentials (which they definitely have, from the usual high-end, organic, and sustainable sources), but this location is so much more.
