I called this place because of their impeccable 5 star rating on Google as well as hearing about them regularly on The Joy FM. That was a mistake. I asked if they could change a watch battery for me, they quoted me 15 dollars which was great. They assured me they could do the job. Drove from the saddies flea market on the south end of Dothan, all the way to Bradshaw's. I walked into the door with my wife, and was prepared to pay to have my watch service as well as deeply considering purchasing one of the ladies radio controlled citizen watches that was in the showcase (I had been looking for that model and could not find it, but Bradshaw's had it) when me and my wife walked in, the young man said we'll be right with you. 25 minutes later of just standing around and noone helping us, the young man finally comes over and ask how they can help us. I explain to him that I had called about getting my watch serviced, and was assured that they could do it. The young man proceeds to tell me that their watch repair man is off today and that I would have to come back on Tuesday. I was from out of town and could not come during the week because of work. Then I ask him if he can change the battery, he proceeds to tell me he doesn't feel comfortable changing the battery. It's a vintage Timex Ironman, that I personally changed the battery in when I was 8 years old. If you can't change a watch battery, why are you working at a jewelry store? Btw I went to Walmart and bought a battery for it for $2.50, and changed the battery myself at home with no special tools. Took about 15 minutes. They should have Informed me from the start that their watch repair man was out. Me standing around for 25 minutes is absolutely unacceptable. You lost a watch battery sell, and a sell on a 500+ dollar citizen watch, as well as a customer. This was terrible customer service and I will not make this mistake again. I'm guessing part of this had to do with us not being dressed in the right cloths. Judge a book by its cover if you will, I've got the ability to pay cash for anything I purchase, which I'm sure is not the case with most customers that come into your store. Oh...
Read moreMy girlfriend(at the time) and I went to Bradshaws looking at engagement rings and were immediately impressed with the selection. All very nice, and some unique. We found one particular that she liked, but the band was just not quite right. Rather than moving on, I spoke with Ronnie. He was very up-beat and helpful, and he and I sat down and designed what would become the most beautiful, unique engagement ring in the world. He explained that from start to finish it would take some time. It had to go from concept design all the way through production. That it would travel from one side of the country to another, and pass through many sets of hands. But those hands are very skilled. They aren't just jewelers. They are artists. The wait was at times excruciating. But Ronnie kept me up to date throughout. With so many people working on a project, at times things can slow down and take a little longer than expected. But Ronnie assured me it was in good hands and it would be beautiful. He was right. The ring isn't just beautiful- IT'S BREATHTAKING!!! I love it. She loves it. Our families love it. Perfect strangers love it. My fiancée gets DAILY complements on it. And I get complements too for helping design it. It is special, one of a kind, and absolutely gorgeous. My fiancée is even enjoying posting engagement pics with the ring online (and she used to make fun of girls for doing that). I'm very glad we stopped by Bradshaws, and I highly recommend them for complicated,...
Read moreRecently dropped by just to get an idea on how to go about selling my wedding band/engagement ring. Not out looking for the intent on just “trying to make money”. I’m a recently divorcée, and with the hard, unfortunate decision on it being time to break parts with my rings, having minimal knowledge on how to go about it (don’t have much experience in this :) ). With an already vulnerable situation, I decided that Bradshaw would be my first stop (just getting quotes and generalized idea), met with “Ronnie” whom works there and he was very short, condescending & seemed very inconvenienced by me asking questions- or shall I say question because he did not let me ask many before cutting me off replying “I didn’t ask that” when I began to tell him how much the ring appraised for, he was wanting to know how much I was asking. When I proceeded to tell him, he chuckled, began giving the ring back following it with “we can’t work with that” (on my asking price, which is totally fine and understandable). He than proceeded to sell my something (Honestly, not sure what it was. I believe it was somewhere that I could sell my ring. Which I stated “I don’t know much about that”, and instead of educating me on the knowledge of what HE was trying to seek, he again chuckles and told me to have a nice day. I understand if I was asking too much, but the communication could’ve been decently delivered, at the least for him. I left feeling more embarrassed than I already was walking in...
