I went to Cassara's hoping to find a well-fitted suit for my wedding but instead what I got was an unmitigated disaster.
I first met Tony and Tony Sr. in late July looking for a gray tuxedo. I flipped through their book and found one that I eventually settled on. The process was uncomfortable, particularly with Tony Sr., who was pushy as soon as I met him and made me feel like I had to rush a decision. For what it's worth Tony Jr. made a good first impression.
After I chose a suit, Tony Sr. told me that they did not have my size in stock, but after sizing me up one more time, he said he believed could make the bigger sized suit "fit to my body." That was a mistake.
As soon as the suit came in, it was obvious that the suit was MASSIVE (I'm a size 40, but the suit was a size 48L according to the coat hanger). I panicked and told him it's going to need a lot of work. Again, Tony Sr. assured me that he would be able to trim down the suit.
After more than 2 weeks of reworking and tailoring, I was given a monstrosity of a suit jacket that was still too massive for me to wear. It is literally unusable and I would not wear it for any occassion, let alone my wedding.
Nevermind. I could get away with wearing it at a little kid's birthday party as an oversized clown suit. What's even worse is that Tony Jr. informs me that there is nothing else they could do with the suit and that it is what it is.
What an utter and expensive disappointment. I'm out $1,000 on a suit I will never wear and only because Cassara's assured me that they could tailor the suit to my size. That was a lie and this experience was a failure. I would have had a better experience at Men's Wearhouse or literally anywhere else.
Update: 10/7/22
Since this review Tony Jr. reached out to me to apologize on how the first attempt went and to ask to bring the jacket back to his shop to see what else could be done with his other tailor, Gabby.
Happy to report that the final version of the suit turned out well after plenty of work done by Gabby. I appreciate Tony Jr. and Gabby's efforts to turn the suit around. The service wasn't perfect but I appreciate the mea culpa on the shop's first attempt to tailor the suit. Tony Jr. definitely cares about the reputation of his business. I'd advise those coming to Cassara's to ask for Gabby if they want work done...

I had a tuxedo I rented from The Black Tux, they shipped the tuxedo 10-days out before my wedding day, after I received it I discovered that it was a complete disaster (long sleeves, loose stitching, received a replacement, and I even went in and got properly measured - and they still failed). I decided to disregard the rental tux service and went to Santana Row and quickly purchased a new tuxedo.
After purchasing a new tuxedo from the Suit Supply store in Santana Row, despite their smallest option it was still long in length. I requested alteration services despite the short time I have, they rejected the service stating that too many alterations will become a liability; they didn't want to risk any mistakes. Time was running short and I needed someone to fix the alterations on my new tuxedo as soon as possible, I was starting to lose hope.
I was recommended to check out Cassara's and upon arrival, Tony, greeted me. I mentioned to him I'm running short on time and need to get alterations asap for my upcoming wedding. Tony was professional and immediately got ready to work. He even promised it'll be done in 3-days (I had 4-days left before the wedding day). Lo-and-behold, Tony and his team delivered! They saved my tuxedo and made the proper alterations within 3-days. Everything fits and my outfit was saved with 1-day left to spare.
On the wedding day, many of my guest have complimented on the fit of my tuxedo, Tony and his team's work is proof of mastery - they know how to make the best alterations.
This is the most reliable service I've experience. All of the best to, Tony, and his Rockstar team, I am now a life-long customer and will get all my alterations done here going forward.
Thank you Cassara's...
