Victoria's Secret Outlet — Local services in Duluth

My good friend requires a cane to walk and is disabled. Today we came into this store hoping to find some bras for her and while we did, we also found discrimination.

When she went to try on the bras she’d selected, the employee there informed her that the ADA fitting room was unavailable because THEY WERE USING IT AS A STORAGE CLOSET FOR SHELVES/CLEANING SUPPLIES/ETC!!! Apparently their back room is just “too small” and that means they have to use the disability friendly fitting room instead of a regular one to put stuff in.

UNACCEPTABLE.

We had to ask them to move that stuff out of there and they did, after a solid ten minute wait. I asked the employees who authorized this and was informed it was their manager.

Eventually it was moved into the hall where the other fitting rooms were for the most part. I don’t know what they did with it after we left, I just hope they didn’t sneakily put it back in there to discriminate against more disabled people in the future.

Anyway, I don’t want to shame my fellow retail workers. They don’t get paid enough, but I am writing this review in the hopes that it shames the manager (and any other employees involved) from making a decision like this again—or even moves Victoria’s Secret as a company to act and do what’s right.

First off I used to love this store because it’s really nice that you can get discounted Victoria’s Secret items but for me to sit there and spend $200 here and not be given the product that I spent money on but charged for it and then when I call and let them know I never received the underwear that I was charged for and I was told to come in and they would look at my receipt to see it was on there and then give me a new pair without being charged but then spend 45 minutes driving there for them to charge me for the underwear after telling me that they weren’t going to and then after speaking to someone else, then telling me to come back after I had already left to be refunded is ridiculous cause I don’t live around here and now I’m being charged for something twice when I only got one pair I don’t care if it’s $2.03 dollars $15 I want my money back and I want to charge back to my card This is freaking ridiculous and the lady there that answered the phone. The second time was very rude and I believe her...

my first time coming in to this store, i dont like staying in stores long so i didnt look at everything. i saw the 3/9.99 deal and started picking out panties but things always get mixed up in stores like this (i didnt think about that clearly..) but picked my 3 and checked out. the cashier was talking to a coworker during my whole transaction and never told me one of the panties werent part of the deal, didnt disclose all sales were final which i mean.. understandable but i couldnt even go back in right after my purchase and exchange the pair that werent apart of the deal for some that were... if the cashier said they werent apart of that sale i would have grabbed more panties from the other bins i didnt even look in to get two deals.. kinda sucks i feel like i would have been better off doing the 7/35$ online. the screen that shows prices when you ring up didnt wasnt displaying anything sooo i didnt clock that until i walked out of the store...
