Earthbound — Local services in Duluth

I normally LOVE shopping here, but today changed my opinion forever. I came in to exchange Christmas gifts that I received from this store. Most of the items I had a gift receipt for, but a couple were from my son and he did not save the receipt, but they were Earthbound exclusive items, with tags still on them. I called ahead and spoke to Michael, who was very nice and said that exchanging the items would be no problem. I drove there and I was dealing with Michael, when the manager interrupted and was extremely rude. She acted as if I were trying to get something over on her. I HAD RECEIPTS! Plus, I asked for store credit, not money. The two items that I did not have a receipt for, she only gave me half credit for and only after I explained that 90% of my wardrobe and jewelry come from Earthbound. I spend a great deal in this establishment routinely. Also, while giving me terrible service and plenty of attitude, she was humiliating an employee by reprimanding her in regards to allowing her mother to use her employee discount. All if this was done in front of other customers. I was embarrassed, the employee was embarrassed and the other customers were very uncomfortable. She's not only a terrible manager, she's a horrible person. Who humiliates their customers and expects return service??? Very bad...

me and my boyfriend decided to go to Sugarloaf Mall, We walked inside earthbound, We were having a normal fun time looking at everything, I was going to purchase these black bows and one ring. This woman with mid long hair and green hair, came up to us, She accused my boyfriend of stealing and asked to see his pockets. She said He put something in his belt line, We were shocked he shook his pants and took everything out of his pocket to prove that there was nothing there. We were wrongfully accused so I put the items that I wanted to purchase down. Next time I will be asking for her name and it’s just really devastating to have this happen. I wanted to be a customer and buy those two things, but the mean/psychotic worker put a bad taste...

The energy from the staff and within the store was absolutely AMAZING! I spoke with Chris (the assistant manager) who was very friendly and welcoming. Troy was the employee to assist me throughout my visit and was such a positive blessing to speak with. She was so incredibly upbeat and personable, I felt like I was speaking with a long time friend and not someone I had just met 30 minutes prior. With living far away from all Earthbound locations, THIS was the exact energy I was hoping to feel when visiting. In the midst of a chaotic and packed out mall, I found myself a small safe space right within Earthbound. Thank you again for the positive experience, Troy...
