I decided to try this location as it is much closer than the Schaumburg location I usually go to and I was in a time crunch.
This was probably the worst clothes buying of my life and not what I expect from the Men's Wearhouse chain.
Upon walking in I was greeted promptly and told the gentleman I needed a new suit. At this point nothing else I said seemed to register with him. He asked me my size which I did not know and he apparently was not going to measure me. I told him I recently purchased a suit in Schaumburg and could probably look he look up my sizes from that visit. I and my wife had to ask 4 more times before he did it. I asked for a specific color but was presented with different colors. I was laughed at when I told him the suit was too tight, he also had some insensitive comments at other moments which seemed to be directed at my weight/build (yes I am overweight). He again snickered when I asked if this was something they could have ready in a few days as I had an appointment the next week. Finally I decide to try on a wrong color suit he was saying was my only option and shirt that he gave me. The shirt was no where near the right size. It was huge and I could wrap it around both sides to my back. The suit on the other hand was too tight and ill fitting (since it was off the rack) I again asked about alterations to which he said it fit good enough. I then looked at the tag and it was one of the most expensive suits I had ever tried on at a mens wearhouse by far. I then understood why he was pushing this one so hard. I decided I had had enough. I got ready to leave and he offered me 30% off which was not even a request from me. The price (while too high for me) was not the issue. I then asked him to write down the details and price of the suit so I could think about it. He then walked away and ignored us. I didn't notice but my wife said he was on his cell phone constantly while "helping" me. All he helped me do was waste a day and to make me feel bad about myself. I didn't get his name but I suspect he wont be working there very long if he is on commission because he was terrible.
The next day I went the the Schaumburg location and got exactly what I needed and felt good about it and myself. I like Men's Wearhouse but this location/visit...
Read moreOk, here is the bottom line. If you have a different Men’s Wearhouse closer to you, it is still in your best interest to go to this location. The reason, Gene Kurlikin.I am a dad with a wife and 4 kids so both my time and money are in constant short supply. I needed a good suit as my other ones were over a decade old. I went in knowing that you usually get what you pay for so I was ready to spend a little cash in order to get a good suit. I was greeted warmly by Gene immediately and from that moment on it became very clear that he was going to get me the absolute best suit that my money would allow. At no point did I feel highly pressured to make a purchase, I never felt rushed, and even though the place was extremely busy that day Gene never turned his attention away from me for a moment the entire time I was there. It was obvious that he was fully committed to giving me the best quality service and goods that were in his power to give. In the end I got two suits (thanks to Gene finding a deal that was available at the time) and they fit me like a glove!! Perfectly tailored. Not a stitch out of place. The suit is Kenneth Cole so I expected a high quality product but what FAR exceeded my expectations was Gene. He is a master of his craft and obviously takes great pride in what he does. I hope he stays at Men’s Wearhouse and I hope he stays at this location, but in the off chance he doesn’t you can bet that I will follow him to wherever he chooses to work because I know that I will receive top notch, personalized, friendly service from a true professional. If you care at all about your time and money you will do the same. Hey Men’s Wearhouse Corporate!!! Keep this guy! Give him what he wants to stay! He is a worth-while investment for your company!

Read moreI've been a customer at this location for a couple of years now and my experience used to be excellent. The employees were always friendly, cordial, and very helpful. They would give meaningful advice that helped me in rounding out my wardrobe.
My recent visits have been less than satisfying. I walk in and the employees barely acknowledge me. The only time I get any sort of interaction is when I'm asking for a certain style of shoe. Frustrating, but not enough to warrant a poor review.
It all came to a point the other day when I brought my brother in to get fitted for his birthday. I was in a suit myself and clearly showed intentions to spend money. No one greeted or even looked in our direction.
One older gentleman in particular was standing off to one side by himself. We walked right by him, he said nothing. We picked out shoes and ties, he did nothing. I had my brother try on coats right next to this guy, he didn't acknowledge our presence.
When I finally asked him a question, he shrugged, said he was busy and walked to the other end of the store. We left shortly after. Overall, I'm incredibly disappointed by the lack of quality service I have received at this location. As someone who works in sales and who focuses on buiding the customer experience, I know it isn't that hard to be attentive, knowledgeable, and thorough in assisting a client's needs.
For the sake of those who care about their suit buying experience, this aspect of your business...
