We chartered the Daisy Mae for a full day. They did 2 things great. So I gave them 2 stars. Drove us out and brought us back alive. The weather was fantastic. Mick the captain and Chad was his mate (also a captain) This will be a very detailed review as I believe reviewing is important for future clients. Upon arrival to the boat at 6:30am we were greated but no formal introductions were made. Just "Hi and load up". Followed by being informed that the boat needed gas. So our party of 5 got to enjoy diesel fumes for breakfast. After waiting for the fuel truck to arrive. We had a smooth ride out about 28 miles they said. At first it was cool but we started hanging up on the bottom and they were complaining about the tackle being lost. We went from using single 4oz sinkers and good hooks to using mismatched weights doubled up and bent rusty hooks. The sardines(cut bait) was good but the shrimp was old and mushy. Barely would stay on the hook. We did catch some fish. Mostly snapper and grunts. One species they called the "lizard" fish the mate Chad enjoyed slamming its head off the back off the boat and laughing and saying, "that one is retarded now" Chad also was smoking cigarettes around us.( all non smokers) then proceeded to flick every butt overboard. Chad also was making several sexual comments and references. We had a woman with us but he didnt seem to care. They discarded the cardboard bait package overboard. Said 9 miles out they could. When its actually 12 miles out but still why pollute our waters? We had plenty of space to bring back the cardboard box for proper recycling or dispoal. We were told we would have the time wasted refueling made up but still was dockside by 2:55. Overall very unprofessional and disrespectful to the environment. I would highly recommend looking at other boats before booking with these hooligans. They DO NOT own the boat just hired to drive it and take people out. Be CAREFUL I would recommend going with someone older that actually owns the boat. You have many options so choose wisely. Good luck and I hope this helps in deciding how to spend 1,000.00 or more on a fishing trip.

⸻ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Captain Tim “Slammer” Delivers Every Time! We had an incredible trip with Daisy Mae Fishing Charters, and a huge part of that was thanks to Captain Tim, aka Slammer. From the moment we stepped on the boat, we knew we were in good hands. Tim is one of those captains who just knows the water – the tides, the currents, the weather patterns, and exactly where the fish will be. The day we went out, the tides were tricky, water temps weren’t ideal, and the over 100 heat index was not on our side but But Captain Tim didn’t miss a beat. He adjusted spots, switched up tactics, and worked tirelessly to make sure we stayed on the fish. It was clear that his experience and dedication set him apart. Even through less-than-ideal conditions, Tim kept the energy up and the experience fun for everyone. He explained what he was doing and why, teaching us about how different tides and water temperatures affect the bite. It felt like we were learning from a true pro while also having a blast. If you’re looking for a charter that doesn’t just take you for a ride but actually fights to make your trip a success no matter what – Captain Tim “Slammer” is your guy. His passion, knowledge, and determination shine through the entire trip. We’ll definitely be booking with Daisy Mae Fishing Charters again – you can’t go wrong with Slammer at the helm! 🎣

Went out before new year’s break with Captain Tim on a 4 hour trip. Fantastic experience! Captain Tim is very professional, energetic, and humorous, he makes our trip! We had a last minute decision on having an off shore fishing, and facing challenges such as strong winds and swell, plus one of the coldest snap in history. However, thanks to Captain Tim and his professionalism, none of us had sea sick and we also got 4 excellent groupers! Definitely coming back and looking forward to another longer trip!!!

I wish i could give them a 0. The family had a trip planned for month to go out for June 4. Day before the trip we get a text about weather was bad and will need to cancel and will call the next day to schedule something. Now upset because the trip was cancelled but understanding for safety. Now not only did they NOT call us but the real reason they cancelled the trip was because they took out the same group the day before back out to fish in our time slot that we reserved for month. Then posted pics about it and bragged about what they caught. Do not waste your time with these lairs. They will string you along. Straight trash. This is how they treat paying customers. Ps still waiting for...
