I received Valentino perfume as a gift from my mother who does not have an Ulta account. She did not send the receipt with the perfume, but she purchased the wrong scent. I have been a member of Ulta beauty since 2009. I went to the Perimeter location to just exchange the pink Valentino for the yellow Valentino and I can’t think of the cashiers name that initially told me that I could not exchange the perfume without a receipt or an Ulta account. I told her that I read on the app that you can exchange without a receipt or an Ulta account. You just have to pay the difference if there is one in taxes, or if the item costs more, she wanted to refute that and say that she could not do it she then insinuated that it was purchased from another seller like Sephora. She then patronized me and said well call your mom and ask for the receipt. My mom is 67 years old. She knows she knew she threw the receipt away so I went back out to my car looked at the website and in fact, it did say that you can exchange it. I went back into the store and spoke with a manager. Her name is Gillian. She said she could try to do a blind return for it so she scanned the perfume and it came up as $.04 she said that Valentino wanted to give me four cents. It clearly states on their website that if the perfume was purchased within 90 days that it has to be given to you at the price during that time. I received it as a late Valentine’s Day gift so it was clearly purchased within 30 days she was adamant about not letting me exchange the product. That same evening I went to another Ulta location and the manager happily did the blind return and all she did was checked to see the current price typed it in because the perfume cost $156. She gave me a store credit she called four other stores to see if they had the 3.4 ounce that I was looking for and had them placed it on hold for me! The fact that the manager at the Perimeter location Gillian purposefully gave me a hard time unnecessarily when she knew that she had the authority to type in the price for the perfume again I have been an Ulta member since 2009 and that’s how you treat your long-standing customers I will never go back to that location again and I’ll be sure to tell all of my friends not to patronize that location. Read moreI came here last night to make a return for my Dyson Airwrap since it ended up breaking , long story short I already knew I was going to have an issue when there was 1 cashier and then another girl just removing items from the wall and she looked so so miserable and unhappy and kept looking at the people in line and it started to wrap around the store and she didn't even bother to hop on the register until someone in line sighed and she gave this face where it was bothering her to do her job , Anyways , once I went up there with the bitter cashier she has me give her my receipt and phone number and I did tell her my cousin purchased this item for me with my card because I was unable to get it when it released so my cousin put it under her Ulta account , so then she calls her manager and the manager tells me I CANNOT return the item since it is not my account even though I have the physical receipt as well as the original form of payment , I told her why did she not tell me this yesterday when I came to ask if I can exchange and return and she just shrugged it off . So of course I was super annoyed and I told her that I needed to return it because the 60 days were almost up and no other ulta has this specific Dyson in stock or Dyson to exchange it so Im returning it for my money back because I ended up purchasing it from Sephora and I did not want to be out 1250$ for 2 dysons and again just shrugged it off and told me all she can do is give me $615 worth of credit like why would I want that much on store credit for an item I have the receipt on and can return on time to get my money back ? The cashier just had this stupid smirk while her manager was talking to me and I just ended up telling them thanks for nothing because they did nothing and were totally useless and honestly they need to go find another job because how do you work in the beauty industry and act like that and have no sense in customer service? I went in to make a purchase the day before Christmas eve, was rushed due to closing. While being check out, the sales representative Ajarte was moving so fast, she scanned the same lipstick twice which also showed on the receipt and missed a scan of another foundation. I returned the next morning to speak with a manager to explain what happened with my previous purchase and to make a return of one of the four lipsticks purchased. The manager Wyatt actually stated he had to check the security cameras to make sure I made the purchase and to review the specific items. When has anyone ever had to check security cameras for a 24 hour return ???? Another individual beside me was making a return as well and no security cameras were checked for her. While Wyatt was searching for detailed information on the cameras, another sales representative Brarkica became so loud at the register in processing the returns, you could hear her all throughout the store. Once Wyatt told her it was difficult to make out which lipsticks shades were purchased since I purchased four, to search through my entire purchase history and Brarkica went back to March of 2020. Spending over $200, and being treated like this was not only embarrassing, but humilating as well.
