This particular Ulta beauty is horrible when it comes to staff, customer service and racist behaviors…. COMPLETE DISGRACE! Today my family and myself decided to visit this particular store. Once entered we were able to shop peacefully within the first 5mins until I noticed an associate (Caucasian heavyset woman with glasses) consistently following us without once asking whether we need assistance or not. At one point she had made it so obvious that I kindly ask my husband, do we know her? At that exact moment when my husband turned around, she walked away immediately (I was watching her every movement at this point). A min later, I noticed another associate (white male) within 10 feet of us speaking with another associate, immediately she (Krisy) came over asking politely do we need help? Which I kindly excepted being my daughter was interested in skin care. She was very nice and knowledgeable basically just doing her job. She was the only associate that made us comfortable enough to communicate with however, I’m not naïve to this whole ordeal that was taken place in this establishment. YES, I could’ve asked to speak to the manager perhaps took it a little further or just cursed them out but no need because we weren’t stealing nor do we have to justify. We know our salaries, our education and we pay taxes. Being out loud ignorant is something they would’ve expected however, we kindly ignored their ignorance and made our last and final purchase with this particular Ultra beauty. Of course as we were leaving the store, I noticed the original associate that was blatantly stalking us on her phone stealing company time with a store full of caucasian customers. This is a very unfortunate situation, especially being our family is a frequent shopper at our local Ulta beauty that treats us with dignity and respect but I refuse to spend money at ANY establishment that racially profiles Black people in any kind of form or fashion. I only gave 1 star being store was organized and clean. Other than that, if you’re Black or brown, rich or poor don’t consider wasting your money at this...
Read moreI love ulta in general, these hair stylists tho are not it. The lady I had took about 11 hours to do my hair (and no I’m not joking I came early morning and left around 11pm) In general, when I go blonde it’s at most $300 and it’s lovely blonde hair. I, of course do not mind paying more , but the price needs to meet the work. I did end up with blonde hair that day but one side was more orangish/ yellow and the other was more platinum ( my hair before was a faded ginger). Honestly I did trust her at first and expected to be home in time , but It was as if it was her FIRST day…. And someone else was HELPING her on what to do like she literally did not know how to properly take my hair to blonde .., like girl if you can’t do the color then tell me you can’t do it before agreeing. I paid more than what I usually do and that was after discounts too.. which is crazy since it’s ULTA and she wasn’t even an actual professional like the lady who was helping her. I trust that other stylist that was helping her tho and she does good work, the lady that was doing my hair tho needs a lotttttt of work. After this experience, I’m not going back to blonde for a whileee and that’s saying a lot because I love going blonde. But never again. Not until I find the right stylist for me that actually at least looks like they know what they’re doing …. I also cut my long hair off because that’s how bad I want my natural hair to grow back from this mess. But hey at least I’m #blondie lol...
Read moreRude employees and manager. When I placed an order online the birthday reward wasn’t working and customer service said to go to any ulta and pick up in store. I go in store and they said that they see in their system that I haven’t picked up my birthday reward but need the email to scan. Then she said either way we don’t have Nov ones anymore. Today is Dec 1st and my birthday was 9 days ago. She said she has December ones but needs the barcode in the email. I’m assuming the manager, then very rudely comes up doesn’t say anything no greeting and I explain that i never got an email she says she needs the email. I’m sorry is this gift a 2,000$ diamond necklace. Why are they protecting it with their life? Why would I drive all the way back to the mall for something that’s not worth much? This was horrible customer service. Will be closing my loyalty account since it does nothing for me anyways. Also, I see MANY negative reviews on this store going back 2 years. Either ulta continues to hire horrible people or they allow horrible people to come the working despite them responding saying they take issues seriously. I questions their hiring practices and commitment to...
