Zales — Local services in East Rutherford

I went to zales at this location to return a Mother’s Day gift on May 16,2023 at about 12:37pm, the young lady seemed to have been being trained by and older woman. I went to get information on making my bracelet bigger and then decided to just return it because the older woman’s attitude was unpleasant and her tone of voice seemed as if she was annoyed. She then told me I couldn’t return it with out my ID matching the name of the person who purchased it, I explained it was a Mother’s Day gift, she made me feel as if I stole this item from somewhere or someone. So I took my things and left. Today May 20,2023 I sent my husband to go return this item. My husband went to zales at the willowbrook mall and was able to return it with no problem and wasn’t asked for his ID. He asked the lady if that was a procedure they do and she said no and that I shouldnt have had any issue returning this item.

Zales located in Rutherford needs to watch who they hire and how they speak to people. I am sorry I am a Hispanic woman with a husband who can afford items from zales. Your staff made me feel as if I shouldn’t have been in that store and I couldn’t afford the items in it. So I must have stole it.
