Häagen-Dazs — Restaurant in East Rutherford

The service at this establishment has got to be the absolute worst I have ever experienced in my 41 years on this planet. The staff was ridiculously disorganized and rude. They gave conflicting direction as to how and where at the counter to place your order. They kept sending us back and forth between the order side and pick up side. Then, when questioned about it, they said, "Leave a review or talk to the owner!" Well, here is my review! Then, after we finally placed our order and paid, the rude woman who suggested we talk to the owner placed my smoothy behind the counter next to the register and stared at me. I had to reach behind the plexiglass to grab it. She's lucky I didn't open the lid and throw it at her. I will definitely NEVER spend my hard earned money there again. Too bad because the actual ice cream is amazing... but so what! Poor service is poor service. Hmm. I wonder if they treat fairer skinned customers this way?? Anyway, on to the next establishment!! In 1984, former President Ronald Reagan named July as the National Ice Cream Month and the third Sunday in July as National Ice Cream Day. Today was National Ice Cream Day and what better way to beat the summer heat than with ice cream from one of the local favorites located at the American Dream Mall in East Rutherford. Created by two Polish immigrants from the Bronx, the name of the establishment was created as a playful Danish-sounding name that would attract attention. They ended up with Häagen-Dazs to market their new luxury in ice cream. Situated by the food court on the 3rd level, my partner and I were greeted by the staff. While there was so much to choose between regular dairy ice cream or sorbet choices, we decided on the mango sorbet and the strawberry cheese cake sundae. If I could rate this a 0 I would. This is now the 2nd time we come back here because it is our favorite icecream but this specific location is an absolute nightmare. I came with my husband and 2 year old excited for him to get maybe a cone or some exciting icecream flavor and the 2 guys behind the counter (one of the same guys that worked there the first time we went) were absolutely miserable!!!! They didnt say 1 word nor smile and just looked so mean and moody!!!! They ignored us and didnt even answer back! Worse experience ever.
