Review
I want to start by saying that the final product at the wedding was absolutely beautiful. The flowers were loved by the bride, and we received numerous compliments from our guests. (The only issue was the mothers’ wrist corsages, which came apart shortly after being placed.) I’m not disputing the quality of the products—they were excellent. For that, I’m giving 2 stars for the beauty of the flowers and the timely delivery. However, it’s important to highlight the challenges we experienced leading up to the big day.
From the beginning, we discussed a budget when entering into the contract. Amy assured us that she could meet our requirements within that budget. However, our final cost ended up being 30% higher than initially agreed upon. (If you’re considering working with this florist, I would recommend adding 30% to her original estimate when comparing her prices with others.) Be sure to thoroughly review the proposal and understand that a “tentative timeline” doesn’t guarantee everything listed will be included in your final package. To her credit, Amy did waive the tear-down fee; otherwise, we would have exceeded our budget by 40%. Note: We did add one table, and I will take the add for ceremony aisle decor that was not included originally - even though we specifically asked for it at floral meetings.
Unfortunately, there was little transparency in the planning process. At no point were we shown examples of actual products prior to the wedding, which made the experience stressful and frustrating. This lack of clear communication added unnecessary chaos to the week of the wedding and diminished the overall experience.
The final payment was due three weeks before the wedding, yet we weren’t informed of the final price until nine days prior. That was when we learned we were 30% over budget and that the tear-down service—something we’d requested from the very beginning—had been left out. Amy then asked that the balance be paid within two days. At that point, we felt backed into a corner with no option but to proceed.
The handling of the contract and pricing has left me with nothing but anxiety when I think about our experience with Petaled Pail. Unfortunately, vendors like this can cast a shadow over the wedding experience. If you choose to work with them, be meticulous in reviewing every detail of your contract and ensure everything is clearly outlined in...
Read morePetaled Pail helped make our wedding a literal dream. The way that Amy was able to take the vision in my head and execute it so flawlessly – there are no words. I cried a few times on the wedding day: one of the times I cried was when I saw my bouquet for the first time and another was when I stepped into our venue. Both of these times were because of Petaled Pail. All of our tables, namely our head table, were absolutely breathtaking. The suspended installation that they created – wow, just wow. The small details throughout our venue were just perfect. On top of the seriously stunning work, Amy was incredibly easy to communicate with and made the whole process seamless. There are not enough words to truly thank Petaled Pail for the beauty that they created – it...
Read moreAmy and the Petaled Pail team were absolutely amazing from the moment we first spoke to the day of my wedding. While I had an idea of what style of floral arrangements I was looking for, I was not the most knowledgeable and relied mostly on images and inspiration photos. Amy was able to create the perfect vision board through our discussions, and the florals we received on our wedding day went above and beyond our expectations. I did not see the florals until I arrived for first look photos, and I was amazed at the beauty of the arrangements and how perfectly they matched the rest of our venue and style. I am so thankful for the opportunity to work with Petaled Pail, and I would recommend them to anyone for their...
