Doña Rosa Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in El Paso

My experience was not good, the service was very slow, the food was tasteless, we had chips and guacamole, enchiladas and chile rellano. Other than the chips everything else had no flavor.

Prices are high for a Mexican restaurant although this is a small place it is not your typical whole in the wall. It would be nice if they gave you free chips and salsa like most Mexican restaurants do.

The waitress apologized for the slow service on being served our meal and gave me a free hibiscus margarita which was delicious.

If I go back, I will go during happy hour and try something off the happy hour menu. My family and friends had been here previously and recommended it so we could have just came on an off evening. For that reason I will give it another try when I am in the area.

Came for breakfast with my coworkers. Food was tasty, BUT prices are misleading.

I got the Huevos al Gusto and a coffee. The menu said that Huevos al Gusto are $6.99 with your choice of chorizo, bacon, sausage, or guisado, however, when I paid, I was charged $3 extra for the chorizo. One of my co-workers got Huevos al Gusto con tocino, and the tocino was also a $3 upcharge.

I asked the cashier for clarification, and he was very polite and said that the chorizo is indeed an upcharge. I mentioned that the upcharge is not specified on the menu, and he said they're working on new menus.

I just want to say that this place is the worst, they clearly have a posted sign that parking is reserved for Dona Rosa customers from 9am-5pm. Last night we arrived there around 8:30pm looking for parking to enjoy the winter fest, we figured since it was after 5pm and there was other cars parked there, well we parked. Come 10:30pm when we get back to our car, it’s gone, we make some phone calls and we are told THE BUSINESS CALLED IT IN…..seriously?? Like why just mine? All the other cars were still there.
