Academy Sports + Outdoors — Local services in Enid

Academy is ok. They seem to have very little selection with archery and archery accessories. The gun selection is alright but I would rather spend the time and money at Bass Pro or Cabela's. Academy only price matches which is ok but not always helpful. The boat accessories and fishing gear selection is better than most places in Enid, however, I would still rather make the trip to Bass Pro. Bass Pro has a bigger selection between the hunting and fishing departments. I also feel valued more as a customer at Bass Pro. Whenever I go into Academy, I feel like the employees are only being nice because they have to be while on the clock. I only go into Academy when I am unable to make a trip to Bass Pro. Not to mention, the last time I was in the store I heard the store manager offering a job to someone over the phone and he was not very nice. He acted unprofessional and said things that definitely were not ok. So far, my impression of Academy is unpleasant and unprofessional. I am a pretty laid back person but I have given the Enid Academy more than enough chances to impress me and so far, each time, they have failed. I hope in the future they can become better overall as a store and maybe I will...

I just had the most humiliating experience ever in Academy in Enid a few minutes ago. I waited till the last minute to go shopping for winter work clothes. It was cold and I know I looked like a bum in sweats and a boggin. My husband did as well. A lady stood at the check out behind the cashier and gave me dirty looks and then walked over to another woman where they both gave me dirty looks. Why because of the way I look? Because you thought I was stealing? If you had actually had what I was looking for I I tended to buy several bibs or ski suits for working outside. I wish now I would have told you to stick them. Awful experience look it up was at 12:46 PM...

So i go in to get a bat bag for my kid. This isn't all Academys fault. Ill take some blame cause i saw the price and just grabbed it. But i pick up the bag take it to front and it's way more than the tag says. So i tell them. They said a custmer must have put it there. I replied with why would a customer put more than 1 bag there. The lady walked off to go look. Comes back mad and daid a customer definitely did it because there's no way an employee would make that big of a mistake. So i go back to look at bags again. Not only did she not fix the issue(other bag still in wrong place) there is no pricetag in the area of bags that show the price...
