It was my first time visiting Estes Park. There was so much to see and do. The shops were just adorable, but I came across the window display of Colorado Homestead, and saw this beautiful Breast Cancer Awareness blanket, I knew I had to stop. Anne, I believe to be one of the owners told me that the blanket I wanted was not for sale, It had been made by her and her granddaughter. I was disappointed because I’m the survivor, and wanted it as a milestone reminder. When I shared that with Anne, she proceeded to go take it out the window, I asked ”Are you going to sale it to me?” She said, “no.”, as she continued moving things around to get it down. When she finally got it loose, she handed it to me and said, “I’m going to give it to you.” I burst into tears. It is a moment I’ll never forget. Please support their shop. There were so many beautiful things to buy.
