This company has been in same location @ VRC for as long as I can remember. Their products have been & still are of very high quality. Their beautiful jewelry that I've purchased/or received as a gift have come with a warranty and scheduled cleaning & inspections. The staff are professionals who know the inventory well. I greatly appreciate their outstanding customer service. A few weeks ago I came across a ring in my jewelry box that I love wearing but realized I put it there due to a stone had fallen out & unable to wear it as the prongs would cut up my fingers. So yesterday I took it in and spoke with store manager, Jessica. I still had the original box & paper work which I presented to her. Jessica is very professional, kind and respectful. I learned she has been in her current position for many many years ! Even she remembers this particular series of jewelry! The rest of the staff are professionals with an excellent sense of humor, polite, respectful & real customer service standards. My ring is being fixed and I must say I am so happy to have been treated so warmly with the " real old fashioned way " of customer service which is very rare in other companies these days . Read moreBought a wedding band in Coeur d Alene that matched the engagement ring I had bought from another jeweler. When we were looking we ask if soldering the two together was in the price of the ring, and we were told it was. When paying we were told only half the cost was covered. Oh well, we had eloped so we just went for it. When my wife returned to Eugene she took the rings in and explicitly told them to make sure the engraving in the engagement ring wouldn't be damaged. Two weeks later she went to pick up the rings and the engraving was gone. They apologized and said they would fix it. Two more weeks pass and my wife went in to see what was taking so long and they said it hadn't been sent in yet. Again they said they would expedite the engraving. Today we were told their regular guy couldn't engrave it and it would have to be sent out. I told my wife to just pay the $120 they were charging us and get her ring back. As she was leaving with the ring she was told if she decided to get it engraved to bring it back and we would have to pay for the engraving. I don't think they will ever have to worry about us ever darkening...
Read moreSo, last November I went in to purchase an engagement ring. No problem. Found the ring set for her and started credit. Put money down after a hard hit to my credit report. No problem. However, in July after making all my payments I went in, only owed a few hundred bucks, found a ring for myself because after all, wedding was August 17th. Well, sorry, we have to run your credit again which means another hard hit on the credit I'm trying to build.. what the hell? You can't take my money down on this item and add it to my current credit? Wow.. I expressed my displeasure and confusion because I thought they were there to help build not hurt the credit. I ended up going to Fred Meyer jewelers and got a screaming deal and payed a couple hundred less. When I called the account department for Harry Ritchie's all they could say was that they were sorry I was displeased. Good thing that last payoff is in less than a week.
