I had the opportunity to visit Escott Orthodontics recently for a new patient visit. I was thoroughly impressed with this practice from start to finish. The atmosphere upon arrival was inviting and staff that greeted me were friendly. Because I filled out my paperwork online, my wait was short. Â Michele took me to an exam room, asked me some questions related to my history and current needs, took photographs of me as well as 360-degree x-rays, and created a digital 3D image of my teeth. I was impressed with this state-of-the-art technology and the elimination of the gooey, messy and uncomfortable impressions of the past. I was able to instantly view these 3D images as they were being created. Amazing! Â At this point in the journey, I had been made to feel welcome and cared for. Michele was so friendly and gentle. After just a few minutes of chatting, I felt like I already knew her. Next I was met by Kathy who was also a delightful woman. She took me on a tour, explaining the different areas of the facility and introducing me to staff. Â Kathy took me to an office where she gathered more information and answered my questions. In this area, I was able to view my photos, x-rays and 3D images of my teeth that Michele had prepared. Dr. Anni came into the room and performed an oral examination. Â She was gentle and kind, respectful and friendly. Â She gave me treatment recommendations and explained them to me, then left me in Kathy's care. Â We then reviewed cost and payment options, and we scheduled my next appointment. Â Everything was explained so thoroughly that I had few questions. Having worked in medical offices for many years, I appreciated the efficiency of the process and the professionalism of everyone involved in my care. Â I am so happy with my choice in Escott Orthodontics and look forward to the start of my treatment. Â Thank you Michele, Kathy...

They will try to rush you out the door at you end of your treatment. They want those braces off no mater how ready your teeth are. In my case they double banded my teeth to force them into place and then my teeth were moving and creaking in my mouth within 6 minutes of when my braces came off.
They will charge you $9 a month for the rest of your life if you want access to retainers. They are actually charging you just to store a digital file on their computer. In addition to this, they lost my gfâs sisterâs file after charging her for a year or more. No refund offered. Thatâs crazy. How do you loose your patientâs digital retainer file? And maybe more importantly, why would you want to extract wealth from your patients when youâre not providing them with something tangible?
Some of my techs actually complained to me that Escott would meanly ignore them and make them wait unnecessarily. Three of them did this. I canât back that up, but the techs should not be making remarks like that to customers. Seems like there is a disconnect between Escottâs expectations and that of the techs. Maybe a little cool disregard too.
All this adds up to me feeling like it was all about the money and that there was little care for my outcome the moment it was going to take a little longer than projected to arrange my teeth. Other than the picture they take at the end that is.
My retainerâs still fit but that was never enough I guess because I have to wear the retainer day and night to keep my...
Read moreWhile I've heard of great reviews of this place and Escott was recommended to me from a close friend of mine, I cannot say the same for myself. My family and I have moved down from MD and needed to simply finish up my daughter's orthodontics treatment, just maybe 3-5 more appointments. I was able to obtain a consult appointment, then I was communicating via emails with their treatment coordinator, but it would take weeks for her to respond back to each email and then nothing after my last email which was mid Sept, it is now Oct 7th. I was given the worst case scenario and was informed that it would take 9 - 15 months. I stated that I simply wanted to finish out her current treatment plan and all the other issues can be taken care of when my daughter is an adult. The treatment coordinator responded stating that they can do a more limited treatment and will take 6-9 months, but the fee will not change. Mind you, this whole going back and forth took place over several months and I still have not heard back from my last email to the treatment coordinator. I went somewhere else instead and found an orthodontist that is more aligned with my daughter's previous orthodontist's plan and stated that the worst case scenario did not apply to my daughter, she did not need all the "extra" work done on her teeth. Like I said, Escott has lots of great reviews, just be wary and pick and choose what you need completed for your or your...
