10/07/2020 - Mt. Dora, FL Office Depot - I was in this store location in the print department. We had a somewhat complicated task to take care of. We were waited on by the manager of the department whose name is “Al”. He was very patient with me and my coworker. He answered all of our questions and helped to straighten out some problems we were having so that we could get our labels printed for an extensive mailing that we needed to do. He was very courteous and very efficient in taking care of everything! This is not the first time that I have been waited upon by him. And my experience is the same every single time! I cannot say enough about the service that Al provides and we can only wish that there were more people like him in customer service. I prepaid $169.99 with my VISA card.In mid afternoon on 8/13/16 called the store and was told the laptop was ready for pickup. No one had called me. Picked up the computer at approximately 5:00 PM. The clerk stated that the repair cost was as above. I couldn't remember if I had paid already. I am 78 years old and have a short time memory problem. The clerk, helped by a computer search by a member of management, told me I had not paid. I paid the above sum at the register. At home my wife verified with USAA on her computer that I had now paid the amount twice. She also found the original receipt dated 8/11/16. She called the store but was told we had to produce the two receipts in person. Today, Sunday, I am waiting for the store to open to present the two receipts. Read moreEverytime I order prints, something goes wrong. One time I ordered some 14×11 posters. Picked them up and tried to put them in their frames when I got home, discovered they were too big 15.3×11. Had to waste time bringing them back to get trimmed.
Ordered a few spiral bound books - supposed to be ready by 7pm same day. Never got a message saying they were done. Called the next day and was told they hadn't even started them but could "have them done in 30min".
Either they are seriously understaffed or just lazy. Seeing as how whenever I walk in, there are only 2 people in sight and no one seems to be doing much, I'd say a combination of both. If they have a lot of orders, they should constantly have someone working on them. If they don't have many orders, then a 30 min project should get done on time. And things should be trimmed to the proper size.
