i usually have no issues shopping at this TJ Maxx. The staff are very nice and i usually find a good selection of clothing, jewelry and accessories. However the one time i had to return some items i was given the third degree from i guess a supervisor there. She was condescending and very rude. A couple of the items did not have the price tag but i did have the receipt as requested on their Refund and Return policy. Their policy states that a return can only be done with a receipt. It doesn't say anything about having the price tag attached too. I had the receipt for all the items. This employee or supervisor comes and tells me that for the next time i decide to return an ltem i should have the price tag with the item also because without it they have a hard time finding the item. Okay no problem i will try to remember that for next time to make your job easier even though it is not stated on your return/refund policy which you keep pointing to as you speak to me like i'm illiterate. On the last item which had a receipt and the price tag this time they gave me a hard time because the price tag was pinned to the item. This supervisor comes over to me again and tells me that they do not refund items that have been worn. I tell her okay, but the item was not worn. She tells me she doesn't want to get into an arguement about this but just wants to let me know that they do not give refunds on worn items and they are giving me a refund this time as a courtesy. This is after i just told her that the item was not worn. Even though customers go into the dressing rooms and "wear" clothing all the time and by the time it has been purchased by someone that item has been worn by numerous people numerous times. She basically called me a liar and this is with a receipt and price tag supplied for the item and the first time i have ever returned anything i have bought there. I did not care to continue conversing with this person as she was rude and even to continue to address her was a waste of my time and energy. Needless to say i will never shop at this TJ...
Read moreI love this TJ maxx and have never had an issue. However, today(March 24th) I had a not so pleasant experience with the woman working the changing rooms. My niece wanted to try on one single shirt and once done, she forgot her number slip in the changing room by accident. I was in the next room so she was waiting for me to finish. Once she remembered & went to grab her number, someone had already went in the same room right after her. The lady in the stall did not speak English so we let her be & went back out to let the lady know she loved the shirt but her number was accidentally left in the room where another woman had already gone into. She told her to “go get it then I need that”. So again, we told her that there was a woman in there we do not know & could not get it right then. She proceeded to speak to and treat us so poorly over such a small incident… rolling her eyes, huffing and puffing, and telling her how inconvenient it was & that she “hopes the next person is kind enough to bring it to her”. I bit my tongue and moved along but I couldn’t brush it off so here I am leaving a review in hopes it’s atleast acknowledged my management… I totally understand the importance of the number slip but the attitude was absolutely uncalled for my niece felt so bad and poor thing cried.. “it was an accident TT”. Broke my heart. I’m not sure of the woman’s name who was working the changing rooms @ 4:30 March 24th but I would hope she doesn’t treat every...
Read moreI shop T.J.MAXX lot! Love the store!!! Inventory is Super! Good quality of merchandise! Usually most clothing items are one or two of the same item. You won't see someone else wearing the exact item you are wearing. An excellent, unusual, selection of decor items. They seem, lately, to have a wide variety of infant and toddlers clothing, toys, etc.. I appreciate the many types of wallets, luggage, purses shoes, slippers and items for cooking and entertaining. The staff are extremely polite, friendly, trained to answer questions on items in the store, plus asking if are finding what we came for and ask if they can help with anything else!! Also, several check out clerks will remember customers who frequent the store often and they smile and ask us how we are doing, etc. Nice blessings for the customers for such a large retail business!!!. The store, located in Mt. Dora, Florida, usually has a surprising number of customers in the store at any given time that I have been there. The greeters and staff that clean up the carts and remaining staff are very friendly, polite, helpful and seem to enjoy their assignments. It appears they do not see their placement as a Job or Work. They seem to enjoy being there and helping customers with a sense of pride. We are blessed to have this "Top Notch Retail Business" in...
