My daughter Sophia, my niece Avery, and moi cannot get enough of this fantastic boutique shop. Nice Lena & Friends has everything from amazingly creative and artistic wall art to homemade scented candles, homemade soap, jewelry, gags, games, greeting cards, tote bags, dish-ware, toys, clothing, and so much more if you can believe that. My daughter and niece love making homemade buttons and greeting cards at the craft station Lena has set up for everyone to use and there are no shortage of art supplies and all the tools needed to make something beautiful and unique. I love this place. It doesn’t hurt that Lena, the owner, is so friendly, outgoing, great with kids, generous, and pretty much the epitome of humanity’s great good. The atmosphere and and setting is very cozy and has a great ambience and vibe. I’ll be a lifelong and loyal customer moving forward. Our community and the kids within it are lucky to have Lena. With iPads, and cell phones taking over its easy for our kids to get caught up in the world of technology; the activities, arts and crafts projects, and stimulating, fun things Lena has to offer will ensure the kids of our community will acquire and maintain an interest in art with a desire to hone their craft and skills. My favorite shop in Evanston! I don’t know of any other shops like this—everyone says Lena is nice (which she totally is), but Lena is also a total badass artist and creator!! She has the coolest stuff for sale. Her card and sticker options are abundant and she has all kinds of fun handmade items. She also supports other local artists by selling their work in her store! I find that inventory rotates quite a bit as Lena puts out new magical batches of all the amazing things she creates(mugs, candles, jewelry..you name it). My favorite items that I’ve gotten have been her candles…they smell soooo good, are well priced, and burn for such a long time. Oh and did I mention you can order all kinds of personalized stuff? I lived about three blocks from nicelena for 4+ years and never knew it was there - I think divine intervention was involved because some higher being knew it would be my new obsession. so so so many cute things to look at - you could easily spend 45+ minutes just marveling at everything. I've already told multiple people they NEED to check this place out, and I know they will all be just as enamored as I am.
