Neal's Barber Shop — Local services in Everett

No frills barbershop. No TVs, music, or much decor. Neal is short in his speech, but nice to talk to. There is a single barber chair that faces Colby Ave. The haircuts are ridiculously fast, but Neal is an old school barber, so he wasn't able/willing to do a bald fade (only went down to like a .5 guard or whatever he had), hard part, or temple lineup when I requested it. Otherwise, it was a nice haircut. For $10, I can't complain, but, ultimately, my hair wasn't fully done how I like it.

Neal runs a small little shop in downtown Everett, tucked into a bunch of other businesses that might make his place seem almost overlooked. While his shop is clean and simple, his service is not hampered in any way. A kind man, skilled at his work, and amazingly quick! He'll make any barber shop run for their money with his speed alone. I've been there three times and am in and out in 20 minutes or less. Always with a haircut that looks good. I've forgotten exactly how much he charges (partly because I'm so happy with his work that I tip him well above his fee), but I know it's far less than what most shops or salons will charge you. Neal is an old school barber, and the end result of each cut is solid. He does veterans' discounts and small talk. You get your hair cut in a monstrous chair that looks like it was taken off the bridge of a WW2 battleship. It's all sheet metal, castings, and vinyl. It can't be beat. The prices are low, the wait times are short, and the cuts are good. If you want a no-nonsense cut for a great price, Neal is the man to see.
