I can't thank Johanna and Tamara enough for crafting up the perfect wedding cake for our wedding day. Not only do I think that their cake is the best around, but I was looking for some specific flavors and they ended up creating a new cake recipe for us. I was looking for a cake that wasn't too sweet, so they created a sour cream pound cake with white chocolate filling and summer berries inside. I can't even tell you how delicious it was. For our second flavor, we chose from their menu and ended up with chocolate with salted caramel frosting and brittle inside. We did a fresh berry sauce for guests to pour over the cake. Guests are still raving about how delicious our cake was.

As for our design, by the time we went in for our cake tasting I was "decisioned-out." I had some photos of things that i liked, but couldn't choose just one to save my life and honestly didn't care. I just wanted it to look pretty. In the end, I told them to just have fun and create something they thought was beautiful. I walked into our reception and was BLOWN AWAY by our cake. It was so perfect and gorgeous. There are so many pretty cakes, but it was fun to see what they envisioned along with the rest of the design for the wedding I had shown them.

I had to journey from Kingston to Everett yesterday to pick up a friend’s wedding cake.. the shop is only open from 10am-12pm on Saturdays, so my time frame was limited. To say I was a little stressed was an understatement… after missing the ferry by 4 cars, I called the shop in a panic and left a voicemail when I couldn’t get through. The owner promptly called me back, and when I cried to her about possibly not making it there in time, she reassured me that the cake would be there and so would she. When I finally made it there, I walked in disheveled and full of tears. The owner was so kind and understanding that the only thing I could do was cry harder. Next, she took a little package out of the fridge and set it on top of the cake box. “This is on me” she said, and told me it was a treat for the way home after a stressful day. I cried even harder, hugged her like my own mother, and made the 4 hour journey back home.

I am so incredibly glad that I found this bakery to make our wedding cake! We tried at least seven other bakeries and just kept being let down over and over by the samples. We were looking for an excellent carrot cake, but couldn’t find what we wanted. I decide to try one more place before giving up on cake and google led me to this place. The samples we tried were SO DELICIOUS. We were both completely blown away by all of the flavors we tried - we ended up picking two flavors that weren’t even carrot cake (which was delicious) because they were so good and unique. We got one tier of Almond Latte and one of Brown Butter Toffee. Johanna was so easy to book with and the cake they made was exactly what I had pictured. At pick up she let me know they accidentally made it slightly smaller than ordered so they had made us cupcakes to make up for those serving and gave a partial refund. The cake was delicious.
