My husband has been raving about this place and I've been very excited to try it out! As we walked in I instantly loved the decor and the ambiance of the place -yes there was a very strong moldy smell but I imagine it's not from the lack of cleaning, this is a very old building. I ordered a standard egg and bacon breakfast and my husband got the scramble. Let me tell you this - honestly this was THE SMALLEST saddest breakfast either of us have ever had in a restaurant... I've seen kids meals bigger than that. My husbands scramble was missing potatoes and mine were cold.Service was nothing to write about, the lady came by to drop off more water in the end of our meal and never stopped by to see how were doing. $28 later we left disappointed and still hungry. My husband remembers the experience very different the last time he visited. For $28 we could have gotten elsewhere and gotten a better meal and a better service. Never returning again.....

We were visiting Seattle and decided to stop at Vintage Cafe for brunch as it has very high ratings. The restaurant is in downtown Evertte near the farmers markets which are available on the weekends. It has a diner or more retro vibe going for it. Lots of comfort meal options. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes to get seated, they were busy but had seats available. However I think due to the low number of staff the tables could not be cleaned fast enough for a quicker turn around. Took about 40 minutes for our food to arrive upon ordering, they also forgot about our soup and half way into our meal I had to ask to follow up to remind them. The food tasted ok, nothing superb or special. The portions were decently sized. We felt like the service could definitely be improved but I understand they are probably understaffed. Probably not a repeat in my books but worth a try if you happen to be in the area.

I ordered the steak and eggs, and I was excited to dig in. The presentation was impressive, and everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. The eggs were prepared exactly as I requested—over medium—and the hash browns were nice and crispy, just as I had asked for. The flavors of the meal were incredible and beautifully complemented each other. However, the steak did not meet my expectations. It was disappointingly chewy, which detracted from what could have been a stellar experience. I could tell that the issue didn't stem from the cooking technique, which was clearly spot-on, but rather from the quality of the meat itself. Despite this setback, I would eagerly return to the restaurant for another meal, as the rest of the menu has so much to offer. However, if I do go back, I won’t be ordering the sirloin again.
